That It Should Come to This

I can’t believe that our fans are satisfied with what they see on the pitch and praise Ole for it.

I can’t believe that our fans have accepted City’s superiority and their right to have the world’s best manager, as if we were some mid-table club having to evolve within our limits, and not the world’s biggest club.

I can’t believe that some of our fans are taking advantage of our present situation to establish a new hierarchy among fans, according to which the true fans are those who accept mediocrity as a new reality, while those who want to win trophies are “plastics" or “glory hunters".

I can’t believe that some of our fans are happy with semifinals and a miserable second place, while a decade ago we were devastated to finish joint top and to lose the title to City on goal difference.

That it should come to this...

Really weird article, you've been rubbish for nearly ten years now, of course most fans are going to be happy with progression back into the top 2.

You're literally heading in the right direction as things stand.

If fans then said 'this is great I don't wanna push on and challenge' then I'd understand the point of the article, but I don't think anyone of your fans is saying this, so it's just a mess of a sharticle tbh.

Why did I waste my time replying
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The fact that a rival fan wants Ole to stay says it all.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't think he's good enough to win you the league but he's left you in a much better state than when he came in, which is a shame

Either way my club isn't really relevant in this conversation anyway
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We finished 2nd and won 2 trophies under Jose, hadn't sold Lukaku and Smalling or spent £160m on Maguire, AWB and Telles.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Take a look at the run Jose had for both trophies.

OP - so you’re Woodward/Glazers. Decision is completely down to you.

You sack Ole in the summer and do what exactly? Who do you hire to replace him and why will that hiring definitely be more of a success at getting United back to the top of the league?

How can you live your life hoping your team lose? I cant fathom it.

Even when Van Gaal was here I still went hoping for a win, unpleasant as it was. Club first, manager after.
....................................................................

One of the ridiculous things said here to suit some peoples agendas. What is quite funny is, Cleverson was so against LVG, he could not wait for us to lose to slate the guy. Now, when fans question Ole, it is because " we want the team to lose." It really is laughable this
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wanted lvg out but always wanted the team to win. Lvgs united era was one of the most awful periods ever. But you carry on if it helps your narrative scholay, though ur better than this

My friend we have been here long enough to know our stance on things. The point is, you wrote article after article asking for LVG to go. I for one can't remember of anyone accusing you of wanting this team to lose. I speak for myself here when I say I hardly write articles about Ole. I join debates about him and put across my opinion, which is this manager is not good enough to take us to the next level.

This constant nonsense about riots, being miserable, not supporting your club is absolute and utter nonsense.

Fans are satisfied with progression, which Ole has undoubtably offered this far into his Utd career.

I’m sure once progression halts, or we regress, people will call for Oles head.

I also believe the lack of options in the market for quality managers doesn’t help.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Undoubtedly ?

We aren't any closer to winning a title or European Cup and don't play the football we want.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, he took over from Jose and went on a fantastic run.

Then he finished 3rd

Now he is on track to finish 2nd.

Cups have been okay but he needs to get that first trophy.

So yes, unless your criteria for success is nothing other than winning PL titles, he has undoubtably shown consistent improvement.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

To what end. Do you genuinely think he will win us a title or European Cup?

Their blind support of Ole borders on religious faith : they believe in him, but they don’t know why.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You've been given numerous reasons on numerous occasions. It's not blind support. There are reasons behind it. Even if you don't agree with them.
