Football without crowds is OK to

a point, but it really is very dull without the noise and atmosphere that crowds generate. Something absolutely bland about having no crowds in. Probably most of us have kind of got used to watching it on TV now, without crowds, but it simply is not the same.

When will stadium be at full capacity again? Will it be next season start, or will it take another two or three seasons to get back to normal where no social distancing is required, stadium bars are back in full swing, transport and travelling to and from games goes back to Pre Covid norms?

I myself cannot wait to get back to WHL, but will be a tad nervous at the moment, and I really don`t want to go back, if there are are going to be lots of restrictions, and have to watch the game in a mask.

What`s everybody`s gut feelings say for the start of next season?

I think we will get some idea of where we are in the next 6 weeks.

Once restrictions are lifted and shops and pubs open, if the R rate stays down then I think it will be vaccinated people allowed into stadiums at first. Personally I see us being back to square one in 8 weeks or so due to our leaders allowing foreign people into the country still, regardless of if they have come from a country where its out of control.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The current rules if coming from a country where it’s ‘out of control’ (on the ‘red’ list) is to self-quarantine in a hotel at your own expense for over a week and pay for your PCR tests, I don’t know what further more they could do in fairness (unless you mean self quarantine for everyone, or that they need more countries adding to red list).

It’s tough to make predictions right now. Half the country seemed to be obsessed and certain of a third wave when schools re-opened in March.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Were not allowed to go abroad yet, so why should we allow people to travel here?

Facking Boris is a numpty, the so called leaders got us into this mess by not closing down early last year despite most do the country knowing where it was going.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is there any country that has literally put a complete ban on incoming travel? I don’t think it’s something that’s realistically possible. People have to travel for work and health, or to simply get home. Most places I have read about who tend to get praised for their response don’t have a blanket ban on incoming travel, they have a strict self-quarantine, which is what the UK has for countries on the ‘red list’.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Australia did, and they did very well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Australia requires 14 day quarantine upon arrival.
And they do check up on you.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's what we should be doing Ted
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Vietnam did the same very early on, 14 days quarantine for travel from all countries, completely travel ban red listed one. Look at their stadium this week

I think your enthusiasm for being back in the stadium will wear off pretty quickly with Jose still in charge. Most fans I imagine want to get back just to be able to boo him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Can you please keep on topic. Nobody wants to keep hearing Jose out stuff.

Games not involving your own team without fans are almost unwatchable.

Save the odd game in 10 when you kind of forget because it's a good contest
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Gotta say i'm reaching this point now...anything not involving top 6-8 sides is not interesting me one bit...not that it did before a whole lot...(a bit like watching Europa games)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Got to this point like by January this year, tbh

I only watch us, or a good game involving top 6 sides
and only current top 6.

Don't watch the rest.

Foreigners coming in shouldn't cause too many issues considering countries with high rates are on a blacklist and others have to quarantine for two weeks.

I think it's people from here you have to worry about.

I'm there already. I only watch Liverpool now whereas I used to watch quite a few EPL games (or at least have them on). If you're not emotionally invested in the team playing I find football without atmosphere difficult to enjoy. Gotta say, the wife is loving the lack of football at the weekends!

Wiser folk than me are saying another wave in the winter is almost a certainty (Chris Whitty for one) so whilst I'm (relatively) confident that we won't go into another full lockdown because the hospitalisations should be manageable with a high % of the population vaccinated; I'm not confident we'll have full stadium for all of next season. Not confident at all.

Yeh that`s my feeling as well. Shame really. And if there is not a full stadium, will probably mean social distancing and mask wearing, which is not my idea of an enjoyable day out. That said, I really do miss going to live games at WHL. So will make my mind up if and when the grounds reopen.

Meanwhile, another gifted penalty for Penited, scored by Penandes, after Penandes walked into an outstretched arm and threw himself to the floor.

Unsurprisingly, the referee was looking straight at the incident, as if he was expecting a last minute dive from a Penited player, nobody will be surprised that he gave Penited a penalty for a nothing challenge, whereby a Penited player initiates contact on an outstretched arm.

Hopefully Penited have used up their weekly penalty in the Europa and are not gifted another against Spurs.
