Some of our fans are idiots, basically.

The vast majority to be honest.

At least that's a very big number though.

That's a massive amount

Also this cul-de-sac thing; this is often partly to do with movement of teammates when they take a player on, look up and nothings on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You have a point with this. Our movement is rubbish.

Cul-de-sac's do not happen at Liverpool or City. They've always got players on. Obviously Liverpool have not been great with the injuries in defence but confidence has been low, we've been missing chances andaking mistakes but there is always something on in attack. Where before when the confidence was flowing it would happen naturally. Now they fear making that risky pass and keep it safe.

Rashford just keeps doing it over and over. If he had a good striker to play off or an attacking fullback overlapping, it would work better. Although I still think Rashford should be a striker himself which set to be an unpopular opinion with United fans.

You think he should be a no. 9?

He likes to come towards the ball rather than make runs into the box. He's a wide forward for me.

Yes I do. He was always a number 9. Was it Mourinho who turned him into a wide player, I know he always player him there. Perhaps it was LvG. He has what it takes apart from the actual time given to develop there. He can link up, get onto through balls and is decent in the air. Coming towards the ball suits a modern striker rather than a wide player.

Decent in the air? Are we talking about the same person here?

If he wants to play there, he'll have to get into goal scoring positions more often. He'll also have to improve his hold up play. Martial is better at this, which is why he's favoured in that position.

Disagree. For me Martial is better suited to being wide. Not good at link up play but quick and gets into the box from wide. Basically Rashford is better than Martial from both positions.

-------------------------------
Him being quick is about the only thing that's correct there.

5 years on and I'm unsure what Martial's best position is to be honest. I see the argument for it being on the left because his main strength is (or was before this season) facing up a defender and running at them. But off the ball his movement from the wide areas is nowhere near good enough. Certainly not as good as Rashford's.

I've always thought he'd be good in the 'second striker' position which is now more or less defunct across Europe. (Mainly because his link up play is actually very good, TOOR). Inter and Atletico are the only big clubs I can think of who play it really. Could see the former taking a look at him if they lose Martinez.
