Scottish Post Of The Year

Just looked in at the closed thread.

I know it's only April but as it stands I'll go for Lebowski's:

<Re the cup tie being re-scheduled, I don't see why Rangers should have to re-schedule the game because Philip died. Philip didn't have to re-schedule anything when Rangers died.>

Always stated on here Rangers are Rangers just thought this was funny.

Just reading back thru comments I missed earlier.

Good to see guys more & more opening up about frailties.

I remember my Da's and Granda's generation's tight lipped approach.

Folk didn't blink when a lad died of a coronary in his 40's.

Anyone not anxious/depressed just now is a liar or in more trouble than

they think. For folk who had issues before lockdown this is Value Added.

Bluebell get yer fvkin rse back on here.

When you are ready of course

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Every 40 seconds a person kills themselves on earth.

Owen Patterson, ex-NI secretary , lost his wife to suicide and he gave that stat in an interview today.

In north and West Belfast,, riot zone again, suicide among boys especially is high.

Mixture of drink, drugs, parenting, working class life and no hope, and I try to highlight this reality here.

Wee guys live for a band parade, ride, dinner, Rangers or Celtic win, a kind look off ma or Da and get Fook all from any of us quite often.

JA's the only social media I do - son showed me the fella who's breeks

went on fire & the Riverdance music was dubbed over it.

How to Hell it settles down tho.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Man, so many videos and we take the pash outta boys we grew up wi on fire, ffs.

Both sides mind, and fookin mentalist.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Quiet now due to Duke, not our Duke, and respect for Queen, but boys planning to kick off after funeral and through marching season etc, sadly.

Carrick called off a loyalist protest and riot on Saturday, after Duke died, and that is our reality.

Daughter back in school first time from Christmas and 4 places outside gates and school grounds,,road melted from riots last week.

Madness man.

Then again, wife went to St Dominics on Falls all through hunger strike riots, and her Da took her through Shankill short cut, in her St Doms uniform, and she turned out ok.

Married the maddest sticky bun, but hey ho

You'll know of the Sands family Co Down.

Catholic farming folk who welcomed other Catholic and Protestant

groups to folk sessions in their Ryan Road farmhouse. Folk of both Nat &

Loy communities got on great despite the Troubles. Then came the Ttit

for Tat killings and Tommy lost 2 boyhood friends from both sides of the

Divide. Was privileged to be at a sesh in their farm kitchen and met

Tommy and his sister Moya. Not given much to sentimentality but me &

my boy play this At New Year. Written by Tommy about his dead friends

who died to even up a despicable 'tally'.
