I know some articles are tongue-in-cheek, maybe mocking the plastic treble or the lack of a quadruple. We have won the genuine treble and we don’t want to be surpassed by someone winning the quadruple, so the logic behind those articles is fathomable.
Where do people think we got our money from? And what is different between making money drilling for oil or owning a chain of Supermarkets? Barring the logistics, obviously.
Do we think the men in suits at United, past and present, acquired their millions/billions running bric-a-brac sales? (Djemba-Djemba et al do not count as bric-a-brac).
Waffling on about City and how they only won stuff with money is embarrassing to read.

Does it matter to you? Let's just assume everybody in this thread conceded and said "yep, some people I've never met years ago were sulking and didn't turn up". Does that achieve anything? Is that some kind of 'win' that can be used as a stick to beat me with? I mean, you could but it would have the same impact as you standing in an empty room and just shouting because you can type whatever you like, doesn't impact me what so ever.
Some more people went to see your club play 50 years ago than the amount who went to see mine. Cool. Where to now? I have zero need or interest to defend the actions of people whose names I don't even know but I'm interested in why it's so important to other people.
