Still able to soldier on with the evident back discomfort until the very end (hope by doing that he hasn't incurred further damage, severe back spasms are one of the worst feelings).

If that mug Pepe can wobble on until he’s 39 or whatever then I’m sure Silva will be okay. Takes care of his body to the highest level

There’s an argument he’s been overplayed from the beginning although Lampard had to balance that with Silva being one of the few factors holding in his leaky defence. Under TT the rotation between him and AC is more appropriate..still a shame to see these niggling injuries

He started and completed every PL game he was available for (missed 4 due to injury / internationals) under Lampard, bar one. He did rotate more for cups but still he started around half of the available games he had for Lampard in League, FA, and CL.
