These horrible foreign owners

How dare they, these 5 foreign owners, plus spurs, dare ruin the English game.

as Neville said, these clubs run by these foreigners ruining OUR game, destroying the other PL clubs run properly by English owners for English fans

well, erm, hate to break it to you

Aston villa - American and Indian owners
Burnley - US owned
Crystal palace - 40% US owned
Everton - 80% indian owned
Fulham - Pakistani/US owned
Leeds - Italian owned
Leicester (poor Leicester the biggest victims) - Thai owned
Sheff Utd - Saudi Owned
Southampton - 80% Chinese/20% Swiss owned
WBA - 80% Chinese owned
Wolves - Chinese owned

so aside from the "rebel 6" only Brighton, West Ham & Newcastle have true English ownership, and, we all know how thrilled West Ham and Newcastle fans are with theirs....

maybe we can drop this foreigner angle stealing the English game for a moment...

I assume once GNev realizes he is paid millions to comment on the teams of faceless foreigners every week he will nobly resign because he is disgusted by it.

Gary Neville the pseudo intellect.

Spurs are foreign owned, ENIC are registered in The Bahamas, for totally legal, yet morally dubious tax reasons.

This doesn't counter Gary's point in any way.
I'm sure if the other teams were deemed "big enough" their owners would be falling over themselves to chase the money too.
The counterpoint to your argument and likely what the "foreign owners ruining football" brigade use as a guide is the Bundesliga. Teams owned (minimum 51%) by fans and they haven't signed up to this travesty of a proposal.

So do you think West Ham would refuse to join if invited?

As a West Ham fan, I don't know if we would refuse, but I certainly hope we would.

I tell you what there is a massive vote winner for Boris available here should he take it.

I suppose this is what happens when you get used to receiving a huge amount of money, you eventually start to look at ways to make even huger amounts of money. That's capitalism for you

No chance mate, they’d jump at the chance. The owners involved happen to be foreign, it’s not happening because they are. This has being in the pipeline for decades , long before foreign ownership was a thing.

Just because something has been pipeline for a long time doesn't mean we should just accept it.

If the international bodies and the domestic leagues stand firm the six businesses will back down.
