Firstly, I am totally against this new proposed Super League going ahead. The pyramid system is the life and soul of football and to suddenly end it would surely have a cataclysmic effect throughout the game.
However, what if this is a massive bluff by the Clubs involved?
By this I mean that they could be doing it to bring UEFA to the table to get a greater share of the money available than they already do.
Personally I cannot see this happening without the ruling bodies such as UEFA & FIFA being completely changed, even abolished. These bodies currently run everything including international tournaments and it would mean that the Super League would be outlawed and people like Mount, Kane, Pogba, DeBruyne’s international careers would end immediately.
The clubs are relying on panic by the authorities to force their hand into agreeing these plans.
However the opposition from all sides is universal and I think this has been underestimated by the club owners.
As for no relegation, this is an American system run in their franchised NFL and it in my opinion creates a sterile system.
Football regulation has been long overdue and this might kickstart some legislation, albeit a bit late.

I'm against any closed shop league with no relegation.
That said the hypocrisy is mind blowing. Where was all this outrage when all the iffy money went into City and Chelsea meaning CL qualification became much harder for the other clubs to get.
Sky and the Prem powers that be didn't seem too bothered then.
