What do the customers of the Manchester United and Manchester City feel about being joined together in a few years once these rich owners want to open up spots for new franchise cities in Moscow / New York / Shanghai?
London will only need the one club as well so the red white and blue of Arsepursea it is. Think of the profit from turning Stamford Bridge and the Emirates into flats. Abramovich will do that deal for the Moscow franchise, Kronke can have New York.

Bulldoze the only stadium with a god-given gun on its logo?
Don't be ridiculous.

I think it makes no difference. The Super League kills the sport and kills the club I've supported for decades. Once they've done that, it makes no difference if they change the name or move the franchise to a different city.
On a factual point, it's unlikely they do that. They want more games, more product. The commercial logic is to expand the league.

And dilute the money? Doubt it

You're making the assumption that the revenue stays the same regardless of the number of teams involved. But more games = more advertising revenue, more options for subscription packages, more sponsors, potentially growing engagement in regions that become represented in the league.
Why did the NFL (and other American sports leagues) add more franchises and expand the size of their league? Do you think they didn't do their math?

I would assume they have done the maths and that is why they have agreed on 15 founder members + 5 not 30/40

I’ve made jokes on here before about the Manchester Red Devils vs The Guns of Arsenal being played at the Taco Bell Arena in Atlanta, it was only a couple of years ago...

As a start.
I doubt this is planned to be a static thing.
A second league, a women's league, new tournaments etc. I imagine these are all at least in the pipeline.

A thought that has crossed my mind is that we will probably see "Franchises" move from City or even country, NFL style.
I kept quiet about this whole thing yesterday while I digested it all... But i woke up today even more perplexed and angry.
