Five cheating clubs. *

So five club owners want to guerentee they will in perpetuity have financial advantage over all other clubs irrespective of on pitch performance.

Word for that is cheating.

* Amended, well done Chelsea fans.

I don't see it as a huge stretch from the financial doping of the big clubs.

When's the last time Madrid/Barca didn't qualify for the CL? 20 years? They have become so powerful it's nearly impossible not to qualify.

United and Arsenal under Fergie and Wenger were the same. It's only once Chelsea and City got financially doped these two were challenged.

I hate this new competition but let's not pretend top European football hasn't been a closed shop for a long time.

interesting concept from the OP.

It is as correct to say that financial doping for the past 16 years minimum has been present by oil money but nobody seemed to mind at all when it was pointed out.

now FSG have decided if you can't beat them then join them they are the worst i nthe world and far worst than the poor innocent city and chelsea owners dragged along with this
----------------------------------------------------------------------
An alarming amount of Liverpool fans have apparently been brainwashed by FSG.

Don't forget they bought our club for a relative pittance, after the courts removed Waldorff and Statler. They are the custodians blah... blah... the club belongs to the fans... PR feed... blah... blah... open letter to the fans... blah... blah.

My bet is that John Henry, along with a few others, is at the forefront of this sport recking abortion. No open is gonna wash this time John.

Back in the 1970’s,you could say that many top clubs were cheating then...

To buy a quality player, you had to hand the manger of the team you were buying from, a brown envelope, usually containing £1000 cash...

Bill Nicholson refused to do this... which explains why his team from the mid 60’s to early -mid 70’s sadly declined..without the quality players being replaced, with like for like...

We missed out on all the top strikers at the time... Frank Worthington, Malcolm MacDonald etc... we ended up buying Ian Moores (RIP) who was 9th on the list...

Within 3 years we were relegated, after narrowly missing out on relegation 2 seasons before...

So, my point is... do we join the other top 5 clubs in the ESL... or do we decline.... & get left behind.... a bit like Bill Nick stubbornness in the 70’s... (these facts come from Steve Perryman’s autobiography)...

I personally would have preferred if Bill Nick had just coughed up for the likes of MacDonald etc...

Also, if the other top 5 join the ESL, then I want Spurs too, also

Am I being controversial in both my decisions...

So I guess you are in favour of this?

Nope and once we pull out Levy should call it a day. Joe Lewis should replace him asap.
