What a disgrace this man is. To come out and apologise now is just trying to save face in a pathetic manner. Everyone knows Liverpool and their owners tried to push it through, saying sorry after a backlash means nothing at all. It's like apologizing after you've been caught robbing a bank. You knew it was wrong to begin with, saying sorry makes no difference.
Shocking also that Liverpool and City are emerging as the key players in this ESL mess. How do Liverpool and City fans feel about this now? All the good work both owners have done is instantly forgotten about. Liverpool and City fans, know now that your clubs are run by a bunch of Gordon Gekko and Jordan Belfort sleazebags. Get them out.

According to Gab Marcotti the people who instigated the whole thing were: Liverpool, Man Utd, Real Madrid and Juvemtus.

Anti competitive according to who?
Arguments can be made that a Super league is not anti competitive. In fact, it can be argued to be more competitive than current structures, especial if they allow promotion and relegation.

Having a closed shop, or invite-only tournament is not anti-competitive in legal terms. There are numerous such tournaments like the 6 nations.
In fact, in a previous similar situations (with ice skating( where the established body attempted to stop members taking part in a new competition, it was the governing body that was found to be breaching anti-competitive laws by literally trying to stop a new competition from existing.
