ESL in Spain and Italy

Much has been spoken about the situation in this country regarding the ESL over the last 72 hours or so, from the announcement on Sunday evening until it falling like a house of cards yesterday.

What I’ve not heard much about is the reception it received in Spain and Italy. Italian fans I’ve heard weren’t too happy with it and in Spain I’ve heard nothing about any fan outrage at all. Does anyone have any insight as to fan feeling over there?

Also by the sound of it Perez from Real Madrid was one of the prime movers in instigating the ESL along with I would imagine, cash strapped Barcelona. Following the withdrawl of the English clubs, I’m wondering where it leaves Perez and Laporta now - are they under pressure from fans over the debacle and if so can they survive?

So what did the lads in Paco's have to say - or are you having a lock in!

Brummie

Well as you know, Paco's Bar in every town and pueblo in Spain,is always a font of information and intelligent discussion concerning all things to do with life in general ,and especially football.

The guys aren't happy at all,at the Cadiz v RM game last night, their were more than a few(empty I might add) bottles thrown outside the ground before and after the game .The language was very colourful ,and R M were told to go back to where they came from.
In the bar itself, which has a mix of all supporters(aficionados)from most teams, even the Madrid guys ,who tend to be in the majority generally ,were not very happy at all, even when they won the game !
So all in all I have to say, that like supporters in England and elsewhere, death by the most prolonged means possible would be the preferred option for these creepy club presidents and their smirky little underlings!

Ah very nice. It’s beautiful round this way. Went up one of the mountains near the Sierra a couple of weeks ago. Got to 2000m at the top. Amazing views even if it was knackering

My mistake, not the Sierra Nevada, but the Sierra Blanca ! but have also spent time hiking and skiing in the Sierra Nevada.
