New Manager cards on the table

Who do you want as our next manager?

If you have a few put them in an order.

Is there anyone you really do not want?

Explain your reasoning if you like.

Personally, i am a bit clueless as to which way we go now. No one really stands out as an obvious choice, lots of risk associated with all the options mentioned in the press.

Mourinho’s record was just as bad as Poch towards the end, if not worse.

————————

Correct. Our worst run of form since the famous 2pts from 8 games came this season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That's patently not true though. Under Mourinho I think Spurs were 4th in points accumulated in the Prem whilst he was manager. Shows how misinformation can easily be spread to make somebody look bad, by just posting nonsense.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No Sandy it is true. This season we had 5 losses in 6 in the league. That is the worst form as a section of games (a whole month) since the 2 points from 8.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well it's nowhere near comparable to 2 points from nine games. I suspect that any nine game period under Jose the lowest points accumulated would be like a dozen points, I will check.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why have you suddenly made it 2 from 9? It's 2 from 8.

While 3 from 6 isn't quite as bad as that, you're still talking about the worst form over a period of a month for 13 years. You might say that's only 6 games and if you expand the time period it looks better. Well, if you make it the last 13 it's still just 3 wins. Poch had slightly better form than that before Jose took over.

However you want to look at it, the results under Jose weren't good enough and he was rightfully sacked.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well they were not very good under Poch either, and that was why he was sacked. I would say no away win in the Prem for eight months was infiniteley worse than anything that happened under Jose.

Would Spurs be able to attract somebody like Allegri or Laurent Blanc to the club? Or have you already experimented the experienced, tried-and-tested route in Mourinho and you'd rather somebody either up and coming or works well with younger players? Such as Brendan Rodgers or Julian Nagelsmann?

I think one of your potential best options who could be available would be Bielsa from Leeds.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I would rather have a younger progressive face at the club. Not that an experienced manager couldn't work. Just cause Jose didn't doesn't mean others couldn't. It was never going to work specifically with Jose because he's past his best and didn't have the players and resources required here.

Bielsa would be one of the more experienced managers I'd be ok with but he wouldn't be in my top 3.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think the style Bielsa plays would work with many of Spurs' current players in all fairness and I reckon he would potentially move from Leeds as well.

It was poor under Poch at the time but he got us top 4 four consecutive seasons and to a CL final. Had nothing to spend the summer previous and wasn't given enough of a rebuild in the defensive area (which Poch knew and wanted) when we were desperate for it.

Jose was brought in to improve on Poch. Didn't make top 4, crashed out of Europe and all but one of the cup competitions early, and was given a healthy window of spending and new additions, and people like you were expecting good things from him because of his trophy record.

No I would say Jose was infinitely worse.

Every Spurs supporter would totally agree with you, all except the one attention seeking society reject whose whole life is spent playing an online WUM character

If you got Potter do you think Kane would have the patience to give him those years of his career?

Although he might be priced out of a move anyway

Confirmed: Negotiations between RB Leipzig & FC Bayern have started. Julian Nagelsmann wants to go to Bayern. He already informed his club about his transfer wish, sources tell @SPORT1. But: RB now wants €30m. €15-20m one week before. Would be a world record.

Can't say I blame him - Spurs or Bayern?...Hmmm.

Like Poch at PSG I suppose the challenge is in winning the CL.

Obviously I don't want to see Tottenham doing well, but I think Sarri would be a shrewd choice. He has his own brand of attacking possession football and I felt he was unlucky at his previous two clubs, where he still won trophies and reached finals.
