If the Six Renegade Clubs are Relegated

No one knows what the punishment will be yet, but if the six clubs ARE relegated, would the best way to balance the leagues be to let the bottom three retain their Premier League status?

I look forward to all the fans of the top six clubs being so concerned about points deductions and the impact on the fans and players next time a smaller club goes into administration.

I don't think fans of the "top six clubs" really take joy out of club like Aldershot getting deducted points - and there was a lot of sympathy for Bury and their prediciment.

Punish the owners, they were going to be the only ones to benefit from all of this, the fans and a number of staff at these clubs had no say in any of it,go for the throat stop owners from any involvement in football sell up or be banned.

They should all be docked points if for nothing more than to make the season a lot more interesting. Zero chance of them being kicked out.

One of the biggest issues about the ESL was not so much the financial gain to the six clubs but the devaluing of the premier league by making it not important to finish in the top 4 to get to the champions league

Fact is the six clubs need the premier league and the premier league needs the 6 clubs. So for the premier league to now take actions themselves that would devalue the premier league would be an unnecessary own goal in my opinion.

The only issue is to ensure such a breakaway never is proposed again. So I would relegate the 6 clubs from the premier league to the lowest tier of the football league but make that a suspended sentence that’s only enacted if the proposal or similar is resurrected

Quite simply every club needs every other club to make up a league. No one club is any more important than another.

Very true this. However, some clubs (like Albion and Grimsby for example) are indeed less important than others.
