We went up against one of the greatest managers of all time (vs a kid). Who has only lost one final and has the backing of a petronation.
If you simmed that game 100 times on football manager that result would have been par for the course. We weren’t great and it wasn’t pretty - I thought the team lineup was fine. The subs were horrendous though - Moura was our best player and bringing Sissoko on when we can’t keep possession is truly baffling.
Our next managerial appointment has to be the right one as the rebuild, as Poch said, will be painful but necessary. We have a good enough team who just look poor as they have been woefully mismanaged. We need to start getting it right again off the field as we are in a sharp downward spiral for the first time in Levy’$$$$$$ tenure.
Let’s hope we can steal top 4 while playing some entertaining football for a change. COYS.

Let’s be fair, Sandy, we haven’t had any time to get a manager to set up attacking patterns. They weren’t great but I’d cut a bit of slack against one of the greatest managers we have seen with one of the most dominant forces the PL has seen

I agree it was a very uneven contest today, one chequebook club with unlimited funds against a side that promise a lot, but never ever deliver. I have lost count of the times Spurs have gone to a big semi or final now in the past five or six seasons, and just absoutely frozen.

Acceptable starting 11, horrid, gutless, insipid performance for most of the match aside from about ten mins at the start of the second half, shocking subs - and I mean bafflingly bizarre and inept, what was he thinking. No response to going a goal down, unfit players chasing shadows for the last ten minutes.
A lot of this is on Levy. He allowed a good team to go stale when regeneration was needed. He sacked a good manager when poor form was an inevitable consequence of lack of investment. He hired a hasbeen manager who has spent a year and a half coaching all the attacking play and fitness out of the squad. And that’s before you even discuss the matters of furlough and ESL, not to mention his pitiful mealy mouthed apology to the fans.
£175m owed for the BofE, stadium repayments, Jose’s gardening leave. Gonna be a miserable few years ahead that’s for sure, but Levy could start to make amends by getting this next managerial appointment right. If I see Sarri or Howe being unveiled I am literally done.

Yeah - Potter or Ten hag.
That Sevilla CB.
Sabitzer or Bissouma
Decent RB, and it’s looking a lot better

Top 4 looks too difficult now. I think we'll have to win every game. With what Mason showed today I doubt that would happen even with all easy fixtures.

Winks playing the entire game was a criminal decision from Mason
Absolute fraud of a footballer nowadays. Pathetic athleticism and hides on the pitch. Offers nothing whatsoever

Winks cop-out slide tackles to try and intercept the ball but put it into the path of another player was genuinely Sunday league
