Manchester City were clearly deserved winners and are light years ahead of us. The defeat was expected and it never looked likely that there would be an upset on the cards.
Now on to Spurs..... I know man city are comfortably the best team in the land, but that performance was absolutely rubbish. To ride our luck, scrap and stay in the game, all for it to be undone by a set piece AGAIN, after conceding one on Wednesday, from another needless stupid foul by Aurier, and another unchallenged header, was just a total nonsense.
These spineless caaants we have playing at this club, and the poison running through the club of not being able to get across the line AGAIN when it matters is just the same old rinse and repeat boring rhetoric. And Levy is asking me to sink yet another grand into this club for next season's season ticket
So that is now 4 finals in a row with no goal scored. 3 league cups and a CL final. That is now no trophy in 13 years. That is 8 fa cup semi final defeats in a row.
The list of clubs who have won a major trophy since we last have is embarrassing. Losing to City is no disgrace, but the manner of defeat was shocking, and why can't we FOR ONCE turn up in these big one off games and cause an upset?
Son... crying his eyes out at the final whistle. you were facking shiiiiit mate. AGAIN.. just like the CL final !!!!! Kane.. when are we going to learn to not play him in a final if he's not fit. absolute passenger.
I'm not going to get on Mason's back too much, as he is not a manager and its a nonsense that he is in charge, but the clear subs were Bale for Son, as Moura was our best player... and N'dombele for either winks or lo celso, so that we could actually try and control the ball.... ANY spurs fan would have made these changes... how the fack can Mason not see that ? !
Sissoko? in that game? when we are trying to get our foot on the ball and move it through the thirds.... ? FACK OFF.... Ryan's on the wind up.. he has to be. That move alone shows that he has no business whatsoever being in the manager's chair.
We will get the usual chat now about xyz needs to leave if they want to win trophies..... they should have won trophies at spurs if they actually turned up to semi finals and finals.... I'm fed up with it now... fans were let down again yesterday, after a tough week, tough two seasons actually...
Reguilon... what has happened to him? form dropped off a cliff since his injury...
Son... continues to be the most streaky player i can ever remember.. world class for about 10 games a season and pointless the rest of the time... OVERATED!!! but he will score a worldy v sheff united and then have everyone drooling all over their sky remotes.
Lo Celso... still shown nothing to suggests he deserves to be at spurs.
What a mess this club is in, and yet another chance wasted to bring in some success... why can we never cause an upset? why do our big players NEVER turn up when it REALLY counts? why do our managers continue to get decisions wrong in these big games? why does this club have failure to cross the line when it REALLY matters seeping through the veins and DNA of the club? why?
3 trophies since 1991, is an absolute disgrace considering that we have been prem ever presents and had world class talent in the side almost EVERY single season since then...
No spurs fan should accept yesterday's defeat saying 'its city' as if that makes another cup final defeat acceptable. its not. our big players should have stepped up and done the business yesterday, and they didn't. if you lose to a worldy the you hold your hands up.. but a facking set piece. again. fack off spurs.
question marks over some main players future.
question marks over management
question markes over ownership now... (have backed levy for a long time but really losing faith now)
what a mess and where on earth do we go from here?

I called it before the game. Kane was a complete waste of a shirt and you should have started Bale.
Kane is a player that plays for himself, repeatedly lets Spurs and England down in the big games.

Such a bad take

He's got a hidden agenda
Best left alone

The players don't really have the hunger anymore. Look at their attitude under both Poch and Jose aside from good pros like Kane, Son, Hugo theres not much going on they are all comfortable financially for the rest of their lives why bother pressing the opposition.
City can continue to perform as they have hired the best manager in the world and are able to update their squad like football manager 2021. They are also owned by a human rights abusing oil polluting state so who really cares how "good" they are. Its dull.
Its not just Spurs look at Liverpool this year, Arsenal are an absolute mess. Its a game wide problem where everyone has gorged themselves on the never ending money and apathy has crept in. I honestly didnt even care that we lost yesterday which would have been unheard of 10 years ago.
The European fiasco was the obvious end of this ever grasping attitude to our national sport and probably should have gone ahead so we get the game we all deserve.

First half was awful, but second half was going pretty well until those ridiculous subs. Lucas was our best player on the day and I thought lo Celso was doing a decent job on the rare occasions we had the ball.
Bringing on Sissoko to play next to Winks and PEH was a joke. I'm not expecting a tactical masterclass from Mason but I expected better than that.
But to be honest, whatever team we put out, tactics we used, City were on top form and are many levels above us.

Nothing will change until we get new owners, the one common factor in our miserable existence is ENIC, Lewis and Levy. I have been saying it for years, they have no interest in making us trophy winners, they just want to see CL and profits.
They have had numerous opportunities to push us on from promising positions to possibly win things, and have stood still every single fackin time, the balance sheet is king where ENIC are concerned.
20 years of these clowns is more than enough, I had enough of them years ago, and will not be spending another penny on Spurs until things change or they fack off out of it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who do we get in then?
A nice cuddly US hedge fund to extract wealth out of the club in dividends?
A middle eastern state that celebrated letting women drive in 2020?
Maybe a Putin mafia ally who "inherited" his wealth from the KGB?
Ill take tax dodging Amazon I suppose as compared to the above they are saintly good.

Kane was largely decent yesterday, I don’t really know if people understand football - a player can play ok if they aren’t running channels or scoring goals
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he was clearly not fit. im not really blaming him, we cant go into games against top sides with passengers... if anything bring him off the bench.
against city you cant stand off them, you have to close them.. presses have to start from the front or they dont really work... as you will always have the out ball... with kane unfit and unable to do so we ended with the first half which we saw..
same happened in the cl final.. where again Kane wasnt fit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Kane was decent enough in both games though. If the ball wasn’t finding his feet in the box then it wasn’t his fault. He won the majority of battles in the air, held the ball up, and as our creator set up a fair few 1v1 chances for Son and Aurier (&PEH) the former of which was especially wasteful. We also defended in the structure we were supposed to and Kane stood on Fernandinho’s toes throughout the game when defending. His fitness wasn’t in question.

If ENIC signed up to the Super League with all the riches on offer they are not going to sell anytime soon until that matter is resolved which could be years.
Juve's value went up around 10% on the Monday after the news. All this talk of Daniel Ek buying Arsenal will amount to nothing. Kronke has made Arsenal into nice little cash cow for himself(bless him) and value of the founding clubs will only continue to grow when the ESL clubs revisit the idea in the future.
If anyone thinks ENIC will sell anytime soon I wouldn't hold your breathe. They will go when it suit them. The best we as fans can hope for is if they sell a large stake giving someone control but I have a feeling they will still want some sort of stake in the club as it continues to grow from a business POV.

Chronic, great article, and have five stars from me.
I have backed Levy and the Board to the hilt, but I think the only way out for Spurs now is to sell up to some dodgy billionaire, and let them pump millions into recruiting players that are winners. Absolutely no other way now, City will be away over the hill and away for the next 20/30 years otherwise.
The Prem is becoming such an uneven playing field now, it is starting to morph into the Scottish Prem, where one or two teams will just rule the roost for evermore.
Something has to seriously change, even I am getting disillusioned with the game now. I thought I would continue to go to WHL for evermore, but if there is never the chance to actually win trophies again, then really what is the point? I still enjoy the buzz of going to games I have done 62 years now, but if your team is never going to be successful, despite pumping in fairly large amounts of money, when it is only mega money that in reality makes the difference, it can get very soul destroying.

There has been 4 different clubs win the PL title over the last 5 seasons Sandy. Then add in the fact that 4 different teams have won the FA cup in the last 5 years also. Yet again you're spouting absolute rubbish,

I only saw the extended highlights but to me it looked like City's defenders had your attack in their pockets. 2 shots? 1 on target?
It seemed very one sided on TV.
