Daniel Ek

Greetings all, what's the latest on the proposed purchase of our Great Club by a consortium of Spotify owner Daniel Ek and Gooner Legends Thierry Henry, Denis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira? Anyone know?....Cheers Gooner John

He did retire when he was 30 but claimed he needed something to keep his passion going.

Thats why he made spotify.

Maybe what hes doing with Arsenal now

Hi John, ignore Kash and HB Fash. Very dull pair of WUMs (stands for "Wind up merchant" - basically attention seeking)

In my opinion the "attempt" looks very flakey. You don't tweet your interest (a tweet is a post on social media site "Twitter". He isn't really rich enough (£3.3bn I read - Arsenal will cost over £2bn).
Not sure what Thierry, Patrick and Dennis offer to his bid other than a pull at emotions. Clever to get them associated though.

And I do not think Kroenke will sell.

Well after his aborted attempt to coerce our great old Club----Along with American owners of Liverpool, Man Utd.and Spurs---into forming a closed shop franchise along the lines of most US sports enterprises has fallen through, he might just decide it's not worth all the hassle and that there's no point in keeping his majority share holding now and decide to pull out . Making a substantial profit on his original purchase price of course.Well he is a business man after all Right

You are talking about a man who moved one of his sports clubs from St Louis to LA recently, to much anger, and couldn't give two shiiits what fans thought. Not sure he cares too much about "hassle".

He makes a tenth of a penny every time you mention his name, no wait that's everytime you listen to the artists that allow his business to function.

From rallying against the greed of the super league to supporting the greed of the super rich because you stand to benefit (possibly).

The class has left Arsenal at every level.

How does someone wanting to buy Arsenal affect their class?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's the fans being pro this guy when he's already shown he's willing to exploit musicians for his own financial gain in much the same way Kronke does to football fans.

Two sides of the same coin.

DJeezus you say that because your unwilling to face up to the fans are pro anyone who is not Kroenke as long as it benefits Arsenal and are willing to ignore the harm he causes elsewhere.

Much like City, Chelsea etc.

That's very much why the class has gone.

So you're talking about people who support Arsenal, not the football club itself?

Can’t imagine there are many multi-billionaires around who haven’t got where they are without facking someone over, and are still facking people over to stay there.

As a musician I’m well aware of the impact Spotify has had on the income of musicians. I boycotted that platform for many years, only finally signing up a couple of years back (on the free service) going Premium a year ago.

The reason I signed up was due to being worn down by people telling me what a great resource it is for finding new music.

The other great thing being the exposure it gives to artists, and bands - including themselves. Yes, that’s right. My friends working in the business were the people that convinced me.

I’m sure they would want a higher percentage for streams of their music. And yeah, the algorithms and way Spotify divvies the percentages of the subscriptions you (?) and I pay more towards Taylor Swift and K-Pop bands rather than the artists we actually listen to is total balls.

But I’d still rather have Ek in charge of Arsenal, than a parasitical organisation such as KSE.

And if you think the Kroenkes have been great upholders of ‘The Arsenal Way’ for the last decade, you’ve really not been following closely enough.

A large number of people were downloading music anyway, long before Spotify came about. I thought live shows brought in most of musicians income long ago anyway.

As I understand it, Daniel has been a life long Gooner since his early days I expect he's not the only billionaire to love The Arsenal, having been supporters since their childhoods too......Wouldn't you agree?

His money seems to be mostly locked up in the spotify ownership. Maybe spotify the company is the buyer

What a load of rubbish, Joe Lewis is hardly a saint so that does make every Spurs fan a ? Maybe, but not for that reason. it's gonna take a billionaire to buy the top clubs and none of them got that rich without exploiting anyone.
