The time has come for our Ghanian midfielder to stand up and prove his worth.
He is going back to Spain, facing the team he ended his Atletico career against (a 0-0 draw).
Since he arrived, Partey has not exactly set the world on fire. A bit of a false dawn at Old Trafford, in what proved to be his only league win for Arsenal in 3 months. Injuries have ravaged his first season, and the debacle surrounding Spurs second goal in a NLD defeat didn't help.
A lack of a consistant partner has also been a hinderance to Partey settling into the team. His most common partner, Xhaka, has been shifted to left back, while there have been occassions when both Ceballos and Elneny have done well besides him, but all too fleetingly.
We need Partey to stand up and be counted against Villarreal.

I reckon Admin could do a job in midfield

He's been head and shoulders above the rest of the midfield on numerous occasions. There is only so much you he could do when the rest of the team was intent on conceding silly goals / penalties etc (e.g. the Wolves game where he was fantastic but we lost and ended the game with 9 men through no fault of his own).
He has been more up and down lately which is normal for any player especially in an injury hit season, but I've generally been incredibly impressed with what I've seen from him so far.

First of all he needs to stop taking those long distance shots. He was supposed to make us better, but we've not improved. Jury is still out on him

Masabumi Hosono survived the Titanic, but not the public's scorn.

I actually think he's mostly looked his best when he's allowed to lockdown the midfield on his own, but I'm not sure if that's because in those games we played against worse opposition.
Playing along side Xhaka does seem to limit him though as we see him make less of an impression on the game

Nearly all the player have been made to look much worse players than they are playing Artetaball. Tierney and Saka look great because they've been the only way Arteta wants to score goals and both are being allowed to play the way the naturally play and in their best/preferred position. Everyone else is being forced to play Arteta's stupid way and put up with his BS when we lose games.
Arteta's kneecapped Partey the same way he's kneecapped the rest of the team. The underwhelming performances from the player (as with most others on the team) is all about the stubborn arrogant fool currently in the manager's job.
