It would be just like Sheffield Wednesday to beat Derby in the last match of the Championship, but then Rotherham win and escape relegating Weds and Derby. But I just don’t think Rotherham have enough to do that.
So whilst some Leeds fans might have been laughing at Wednesdays demise so far this season, I'm assuming that most of us would now switch on our Yorkshire allegiance, putting any rivalry aside to support Weds in their crunch game with Derby to send Rooney down to League 1.
It really is incredible how Leeds/Derby fortunes have change since May 2019. We’ve had a few run ins with Derby fans on Ja606 over the last few years, and whilst it’s all been a bit of fun, at the end of the day it isn’t really fun is it when your team is in such a position? Its horrible, it does affect you mentally, and it does mean a hell of a lot.
So, to you Derby (or Wednesday) fans, yeah, you’ll get trolled like crazy if you go down, and we’ll sadistically enjoy it, so expect it. But at the same time, we know your pain. It’ll heal. The positivity will return when the next season begins when all you can do is beat what’s in front of you.
And if you don’t go down ... well... you’ll be jammy bar stewards, and you’ll have a great weekend!

Derby for sure. What a crazy contrast in fortunes, they were 2 regular thorns in our side during our 16 years in the lower tier.

I read that Derby are on the verge of doing a Bury, whether that is just paper talk, I don't know. If it is true, they might survive but not survive. If so they will not be the only ones.

I would like Rotherham to survive but it is going to be tough as I can only see them getting 4 points maximum from Luton midweek and a draw at the most against a well disciplined Mick McCarthy outfit and then rely on Derby not winning. Should be exciting though!

I never get local rivalry personally and I don’t understand how one minute someone can call themselves a proper Yorkshireman (woman) and two second later chant we all hate Leeds sc— 😂
That said I remember working for a year when I was 19 in Sheffield. This lad took a huge dislike to me which I wasn’t used to. I didn’t even know him. Was just a lad in the office. Whenever he would be near me would be having a football related dig. Was so excessive
Anyway we got talking at a work do and he turned out to be a cracking lad - he just hated Leeds. Was crazy. He judged me fully up to that point on supporting

Yorkie, I went to uni in sheffield and had a few odd jobs when I was there. Had no idea till I got there how much they hated Leeds United. I always thought it was just a bit tongue in cheek local rivalry, but they couldn't stand us.
Wasn't fun going to work the day after we lost 6-0 at Hillsborough.
