The 6 aren't even the best 6 English clubs this season based on performance. They're not necessarily the most profitable clubs. They're just currently the most valuable franchises.

I stand with the 14 clubs.

So Unfair on the remaining odd 90..clubs who now will feel as left out as you do. Excluded from ESL plans. Particularly the ones on verge of promotions...

Pathetic idea

Separate from us and you will be punished.

If 10 clubs want to go form their own leagues or cups they should have the freedom to do it.

I hope the top 6 push back on this, they can't be forced to sign this. The PL has no power to enforce this. They need the top 6 - they are just hoping that public pressure makes them sign it.

What are they going to do? Relegate the clubs and deduct points and ruin their cash cow? The PL is nothing without the top 6.

Impossible

Think a lot of it is down to optics now. Ultimately, the existing rules already provide the charter that they can’t enter a separate competition.

Get a few of the board members to stand down from exec committees like they have done and the addition of this charter and then hope that the noise starts to dissipate.

It'll be interesting when it goes to a vote.

I'm confident it'll be a 17/3 majority with the American owned clubs being the only ones not to back it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wouldn't be 17/3 then, would it...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is there an American club I've forgotten about?

Burnley?

Maybe Fulham, not sure?

Burnley, Fulham, Villa, Palace and Leeds have major shareholders that are American - either individuals or investment companies.

City are 10% American owned.

I was really talking about Americans that have total control like the Glazers, John Henry and Stan Kronke
