Protests - Game Theory

Prisoner’s dilemma is a common game theory problem. If both prisoners cooperate they will maximize their outcome but they usually don’t.

In our case, if fans continue to do protests and disrupt some important games, it will cause broadcasters to be very upset with united and our commercial side will take a hit. Owners seeing the club is losing value would consider selling.

At the same time potential buyers would also look at the scenario and wonder if they made the investment and the fans decide to hold them hostage for another slight, perceived or otherwise, they would probably also lose money on their investment.

In my view therefore, the protests if they become a trend will end up causing harm to MuFC. Yes it will also impact the Glazers but it is akin to cutting off the nose to spite the face.

Sorry. More like their asking price will be £5bn if they got the super league to happen. ***

Police will deal with them next time

Pretty shambolic how underprepared they were on Sunday

Looking forward to protestors getting their ass kicked next time round

A slight?

You make it sound like the owners have upped the price of a meal deal in the concourse.

Not that I think the Glazers are going to sell anytime soon but any potential new owner needn't worry about protests and being as widely despised as the current owners are if they simply run the club as it should be, don't treat it as a cash cow and don't marginalise its core support.

This guy actually denies being a Glazer shill.

The flaw in the OP's premise is that the aim of the protests isn't to replace the Glazers with another owner who wants to maximise the amount of money they can extract from the club, but to assert influence and ideally create the conditions in which supporters can acquire a (majority) stake in the club.

You really are an idiotic cretin Lurker.

You want protesters who have a legal right to protest, to get a state sponsored kicking... if they dare to protest.

These protests will not force the Glazers to sell.

Read it in an American accent and think about events in Portland and I reckon you've got all you need to know.
