Manchester $ity

Nedum Onuoha
Former Manchester City defender on BBC Radio 5 Live
I was at Wembley in 1999 watching that Division Two play-off final. And now I'm watching the team which I support literally control the Champions League semi-final against a side who was in the final the year before. It's still very surreal to be honest.

No it is not!

A team has been given billions of pounds to get where they are!
And Tottenham got there before them

When will the pundits fack off with the their bias opinions and feelings. Someone show some guts and say this club is all that is wrong with football and they are a complete and utter joke!

Ohhhh they were in league 2 not so long ago!!’n it’s so amazing what they have done! Fack off

The salt

Pep had plenty of salt last night.

Also that mirror writer got 2 things wrong. Any result won’t make Man City champions this weekend and Terry missed the penalty in Cl final in 2008.

They didn’t even get how many European Cups Man Utd won right.

1 isn’t it?

Interestingly Pep mentions our 08 team but he spent more on Man City defence than Man Utd whole 07-08 squad cost. Shows you how great an achievement was winning it in 2008. 1999 and 2008 wins must have been close to the lowest squad costs to win the Champions League.

Pep has already spent more at Man City than SAF did all his managerial career and Man City also recouped less back. I think Man City already spent more on wages under Guardiola than SAF side in his managerial career. I suppose SAF genius levels was insane. 1999 and 2008 CL winning sides most of the squad cost less than 1 Man City player Pep has.

Never heard of inflation?

Joe Mercer’s title winning side cost less than Fergie’s treble winning squad

Even with inflation calculated SAF treble winning squad costs like 1/5th of Peps squad. Man City are lucky Man Utd had the Glazers. Man Utd net spend most years under SAF was near the lowest in the league. Man City regularly outspent us under SAF in the premierleague.

It used to amaze me when they kept saying SAF was lucky he won the premierleague at the start with sky millions etc when his net spend was nearly £0 most of the early to late 90's. We had one of the lowest squad costs for most of the 90's. Even Ranieri Leicester City title winning starting 11 was similar in cost to most of SAF 90's title winning starting 11s SAF managed.

The Glazers have backed Fergie, Moyes, LVG, Jose and Ole in the transfer market.

Give me an example of when they haven't.
