So how many golden tickets for the West Brom game will there be?
Ive only heard that clubs can have upto 10,000 fans in the ground.
Leeds United have 23,000 season ticket holders. Maybe some will not opt in for the ballot? I cant see many mind. We have waited a long time for this.
I would guess a fair number of tickets will disappear before the ballot for
sponsors, players etc.
Looks like a 1 in 3 chance of getting the golden ticket?

Don't think we will be allowed 10,000 as it's 10,000 or 25% of capacity, whichever is lower.
So that will reduce it to about 9000 for us.
ticket holders will be drawn in groups that you will select when entering the ballot. So if you want to go as a group of 4, you all go or none go.

Someone has suggested on twitter that NHS and front line staff should be selected. Think thats a great gesture.

I don't, i absolutely don't. I'm one of those NHS staff, but i've had my job/pay throughout and get discounts galore because of it.
No these tickets should go to fans. I'd personally stick to my view the other day and that they don't bother. Much rather start next season with a clean slate and no one getting in over anyone else.

I reckon they shouldn't give them to people who have turned down the vaccine, obviously some groups will still not have been offered and they shouldn't be excluded but people who refuse the vaccine are a different kettle of fish.

How do you find out who's refused the vaccine?..
Don't think they'd be allowed to say!..

Not being funny but why should NHS staff get them?

No fooking way
I’d be disgusted if that happens

I see there’s no away fans allowed now.
The home allocation should be offered to ST holders first then members - if by some miracle there are any not taken up.

It’s not going to happen.
It’s a straight ballot. There’s always going to be some lucky some not so. Eh my mate who bought a season ticket for first time 2018/19 season has same chance as say Gary Edwards who’s not missed a game since 1968 or something daft. But I can’t see any other way really of just a ballot for all current season ticket holders.
With regards to NHS staff (includes me) there are absolutely some who I would choose to have tickets - those that were right in the frontline at the start. However there are loads of nhs staff whose jobs have been made easier by covid and obviously loads of staff who are admin and never have patient contact. In my trust we all received a £100 one off bonus and are getting a medal next month. Whilst working in some pretty scary scenarios myself I’d have preferred a sliding scale of bonus on how at risk one was but again it’s impossible to administer fairly so blanket approach is used. Seems unfair that one of my colleagues who has been isolating for over a year off work gets the £100 same as a doctor on icu who was doing 12 hour shifts 7 days and living away from his family for months but it is what it is .

America clearly felt they should.
7,500 nhs staff were given tickets to the last Super Bowl as guests of the NFL to thank and honor them for their continued extraordinary service during the pandemic.
I just hope they found their way to the right healthcare staff and not some admin staff who’ve spent a year plodding on as normal.

100 quid, what a goddamned insult! I ask you... Don't ever forget how the Tories said no to a 1% pay rise for nurses and APPLAUDED themselves when the pay rise was voted down in HoC. 100 quid, what a complete load of scheisse.
No, NHS staff shouldn't get first shout on tickets to a football game; they shouldn't even get bonuses for doing their job, even if they were under mighty pressure. What they should get is a decent salary that recognises their efforts to keep us all alive and at least allows them to pay their goddamned bills.
I'm talking frontline carers, obviously.
