Thoughts from today

What an enjoyable match.

No Philips or Raphinha, but I still bet on Leeds to win as I felt our form improving at home.

From the get go we were in control, moving the ball so well, cool and calm bringing it out from the back, was looking good.

Llorente and Struijk both had really good games at the same time, so much less panicking from corners, the man marking working relatively well and Alioski and Aylinhg as per usual providing such attacking impetus.

The link up play with Alioski and Harrison was superb and Harrison was back on form big style, we didn't miss not having a dedicated winger on other side at all and no surprise goal came from that wing and teh Spurs defence in complete disarray, our player of season perhaps in Dallas was sharp in tucking it away.

We seemed to be able to attack at will and I didn't notice a Phillips absence as Koch looked really at home in the middle giving Spurs no chance to build any momentum.

It was a bit of a let down to conceded as I thought we were playing well, but it's a measure of this side as to how much they have learnt that this match did not go same way of the match at Spurs.

I felt the offside wasn't offside and if these things have to be looked at like that to that level of detail it should be judged in favour of attacker.

In that respect I felt we got lucky, however we continued to dominate and were the better team throughout. I never felt worried about the result.

I thought Klich was excellent in his link up play, Roberts ran around a lot but expect a bit more end product further up pitch from him, he's had an extended run of games now and want some more goals and assists.

Bamford was excellent in hold up play and you know when stats quoted (only 2 goals in last 9 games) that a goal is coming.

The excellent Alioski pulls back perfect ball for the ever alert Bamford to nip in front of international player Dier to slot home in front of the England manager.

Introduction of Raphinha adds another dimension and not long before he's unselfishly teeing up Rodrigo who was in right place at right time, making right choice with positioning of shot.

Some better positioning of shots from Struijk, Harrison, Dallas and klich could have seen this as a 6-1 game quite easily.

Meslier was excellent in goal when needed and great to see Philips giving his new hair style a run out for 10 mins and all in all I really enjoyed that match and it was great to see the effective combination of our slick passing, movement and pressing combined with much much better defence.

I think Ryan mason must have watched a different match for second half with his comments about spurs being in control. Leeds dominated from start to finish.

Great comments about an interesting summer from commentators, it will be, its something special going on regarding this team and inbounds need to be the right fit to work under the world's best coach.

Not sure how Cooper gets back in this side.

What a luxury to have

We are lucky to support one of the most entertaining teams in world football and it's all down to the genius that is Bielsa.
A big thank you to our management for landing such a brilliant manager.

Wow that must be some sort of record. Don't remember the draws though so must have been in the Championship.

Was one of the best performances, if not best of the season. Arguably are most complete performance. Frustrating that we didn't show 1/10 of that against Brighton.

Can't wait for next season

Love this stat - almost unbelievable, but it speaks volumes about this team.

Many interesting things from the game yesterday in a super performance.

One of them was when Phillips came on, Koch stayed in the holding midfielder position and KP played a bit further up.

Maybe Bielsa didn't want to mess too much with a defensive shape that was working well and knew he could rely on Phillips to do what he does further up the park.

I am sure generally we'll see him play in his usual position but shows that Bielsa is always looking for little tweaks like that and thinking about where else players can play when the chance comes along.

Agree Rob - good point about Phillips and Koch. Koch did very well against Spurs in the DM role. Maybe Bielsa can see Phillips taking on Klich's role as the box-to-box attacking midfielder?

Still haven't come down yet - that performance was so goooood!

We did very well against Spurs and I am still on cloud 9 with the result.

I do however want to try and keep my feet on the ground with this one.

Several reasons. Including VAR decision against Kane, albeit we've had our fair share against us and the fact that their players between lloris and the front 4 were literally 'Dier'.

Fair play we made the game passover Bale but he still looked like 'I'm not interested today' - 350K a week?

Aurier couldn't cope with Harrison and Alioski and feigned injury and incredulation as a result on several occasions.
