I want to start by saying that I believe the title may be beyond us this year, but NOT because City are better than us. After seeing them collapse in that last half an hour, I know that in a normal year we would beat them to it; the issue, however, is our fixture pileup. The henchmen at the FA have ruined any chance we had of winning it, with the amount of matches we have in the next week. It’s almost unfair that we play Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday and I do now wonder if the club will ask for the LFC game to rightly be moved.
City are collapsing before our eyes and after witnessing Pep have a total breakdown on the sidelines, I do now wonder if he has gone past breaking point. Win tomorrow and we only crank the pressure up further. Take it one game at a time and if by some miracle we win our next 3 matches then I expect them to completely crack up. They don’t play until Friday so 9 points between now and Thursday night would just mentally annihilate them.
By the way, all I’ve heard this week is how great Ruben Dias is but City have lost 4 home games this season with him in the team. Ole was/is slaughtered for our home form but we have lost the SAME amount of home games as City have, yet Maguire and Ole are useless whilst Pep and Dias are the best things since sliced bread. Go figure.
