Don't be shy

It's not the coaching that is the problem it is the ability to recruit decent players that counts.

It's this constant clamour to change managers because 'there is always someone better than what we have got'

We need stability to enable a period of mediocrity. We had that with Clough Jnr which drove some fans to apolexy. But we were (compared to now) reatively stable. But not exciting.

WR is still learning and I get the impression that the people (not all) calling for his head haven't got the foggiest on a realistic replacement. Realistic I said.

So, we keep Wayne Rooney.

I agree, I would keep Rooney and hope as he gets more experience he will get better results. I agree with Spart we must sign more suitable players, ie buy youngish players and hope they add value like Brentford do.

We are bl00dy lucky, Rotherham had terrible luck in 2 games I watched.

I think I'd prefer to wait until the euphoria of yesterday's 3-3 draw wears off

It wasn't a great squad but I think he got them playing below par, confused them more than Cocu did and the we went into meltdown.

Probably from the Reading game on the alarm bells started ringing and haven't stopped. I like him he talks a good talk, n seems to make sense, but he's given me no evidence he can drill this side.

That whole run in the whole was woefully worse than the sum of its parts, to the point I'd have felt safer with Gary Bowyer in charge for the last game .

from me but I'm not allowed to vote.

I think it's very hard to assess him. Rosenior was on 5 live this morning. Mainly he was thanking me, and also others, for turning up to Pride Park before kick-off to give the players the crucial boost they needed, but he also mentioned the real lack of experience in the squad. We have definitely had far more than our share of injuries and to Rooney's credit he has hardly mentioned it, let alone tried to use it as an excuse.

I like VC's suggestion of Scott Dann, no idea if it would be possible. Shane Duffy has also been linked. Until we have a solid pair of centre-halves and a fit centre-forward who can get hold of the ball then we won't get anywhere, no matter who the manager is. I say keep Rooney for now.

Errrrrrr. But isn't Steve McClaren already meant to be "Wayne's Peter Taylor"

I'm not sure what McClaren is supposed to be doing at Derby apart from stealing a wage?

Hopefully he's paid on performance so won't be getting much, but I doubt it.
