If say Pochettino was to get the

sack from PSG at the end of the season, would he be an option to come back to Spurs? Or should a club never go back. Currently not looking good for him at PSG if as looks likely they will not even win the French League. And PSG sacked Tuchel for winning trophies. So very unlikely he will survive if they don`t win their domestic league.

Looking at some of the names being touted about as the new manager for Spurs, not exactly names to fill supporters with optimism going forward. Up against some of the other candidates, would he perhaps be the managerial signing to unite the fanbase again, and Levy may think it a good way to get back in the fans good books.

There could be some interesting developments over the next couple of months. I am all for giving somebody a second chance if it makes for a happier camp around the club.

"I am not laughing at Bielsa, just think he is to old for the Spurs job, the bookies seem to think so as well, he is 33/1, and 22 managers are shorter in the betting than he is."

That has nothing to do with age, its the Bookies knowing he ain't leaving Leeds and they're giving a price to dope a few dopes into a bet!..

Only losers would take that bet!..
----------------------------------------------------------------------

If he was offered the Spurs job, I reckon he would jump at it. But I doubt Spurs will be offering a 65 year old the managers job. Just to old. May as well get Fergie out of retirement.

Sacking Poch after less than a year in charge and the opportunity to bring in some of his own players would be ludicrous, even for PSG. Winning this seasons title or not should not be a reason to judge Poch.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry Billy, if you go to one of the financially doped clubs like PSG, you have to hit the ground running. It should have been a given that they at least win their league. When you have such a massive advantage over your rivals, you really do not have any excuses.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You do realise they were 3rd when tuchel was sacked right?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

But he won the title with them last season, and the season before. Something Poch is not liekly to do.

Tuchel departed Paris Saint-Germain with a record of 95 wins, 13 draws, and 19 defeats in 127 games, with the best win percentage in Ligue 1 history (75.6%) and the highest average of points per game (2.37, tied with his predecessor Emery).

Sandy, this your subtle way of saying you don’t mind Pochettino coming back ?I have seen you mention this a few times now. I personally think if he were available, Levy would hire him again. They were very close and still are.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I would be here nor there Don. He would have been away for a couple of years, and would be a chance to wipe the slate clean. I am not advocating he comes back, but as a PR exercise by Levy, he surely cannot be any worse than some of the names being mentioned. So may make some sense.

I’m not keen on the Potter links at all and made my feelings on that before. I don’t agree with because he plays good football, it means he will be a good fit. He’s struggled with Brighton in both seasons he’s been there. I would support him, but he’s far down the list for me.

PEH just runs around pointing for people to pass backwards, doesn’t know how to pass forward and can’t shoot.

I have been saying for months he is bang average, he lacks mobility, is ordinary passing the ball and as far as being a DM goes, he does not offer enough cover defensively.

Bielsa is not a careerist. If he were he's have managed much bigger clubs than the ones he has. The Spurs job represents the kind of job he tries to avoid. The higher up you go the more PR bull you have to put up with. I think he's just more attracted to the Leeds project than ours. Simple as that. Not to mention that we'd have to overhaul our squad to be able to implement his style and we don't have the dosh to be able to do it. We'd need young and/or hungry players to do his drills. Our squad is the equivalent of giving the milk a bit of a whiff after it's use by date and being unsure whether to drink it or not.

As you know Sandy, I'm a big Poch fan and I was gutted he was sacked at the time but things were unfortunately on the slide, as you once said. I don't think that was about him though. I just think it was the end of the project. The end of the enthusiasm from both squad and manager, exhausted by the emotional turmoil of losing that once in a century opportunity to win the European Cup.

He's a great manager but I don't think he should be coming back yet. First of all, PSG want to keep him. Leonardo has already made that clear apparently. Secondly, if he rejoined he'll be inheriting a squad that had already grown tired of his methods. They all loved him, sure, but you always need a fresh voice from time to time. That's why Fergie changed his coaches so often, to keep things fresh. I don't think Poch coming back is a good idea until a completely new set of players are in place. Otherwise it really is like trying to rekindle a relationship with someone that you've seen take a dump. The magic is gone and the smell still lingers . Let's give it 5 minutes shall we?!

Sandy, if you are in support of Poch returning I would not be able to take anything you say seriously again. You wanted him gone long before he ended up leaving.

For me we have made 2 mistakes. The first one was not backing Poch... the 2nd was not backing Jose.

I would like to take Poch back and back him again.

"I think he's just more attracted to the Leeds project than ours. Simple as that."

Sandy, thake note of what fridgeboy says, that is one of the big reasons he doesn't go anywhere, he looks at the club from top to bottom, the 3 top men in the Leeds board,(owner +2!)went backwards and forwards 3-4 times to Argentina to talk with him, that took weeks!..

The only reason he came to Leeds was because the Leeds board agreed to his terms and how he wanted things doing, they were very surprised when he turned around to them at one meeting and told them things about their players they didn't even know, he'd studied videos off every player, told the board who he could work with and it went from there!..

Imagine your boss doing that!..

Did the ESL work?..

You'd have more chance off that working than Bielsa coming to you's, so, jumping at a job, maybe somewhere but Spurs would be one off if not the last!..

And the age thing, that wouldn't be you trying to divert what isn't going to happen would it?..

Where did I say I wanted him back? I just said given some of the managers being touted as the new Spurs boss, then it might be a good idea for Levy to get the fans onside, by re employing Poch. I am here nor there. I never make things personal, and he wouldn't be the first manager to go back to a club that had sacked him.

I think its a bit like getting back together with an x girlfriend in that the things that prevented it working the first time will pretty quickly get you again.
====================

It's like that but after you've realised that you've fked up and that titty blonde ain't a good partner material.

Now you need to woo your ex again, with tails between your legs, and act like a puppy but this time if you do buy her rings etc then it will be at Harrods and diamond encrusted!

None of that cheap H. Samuel stuff

The mental image of a busty, blonde Mourinho is going to haunt my dreams.
