I didn't watch the game, but listened to it on the radio as I was driving home from Myrtle Beach.
Paul Parker was the co commentator.
I always put Paul ahead of GNev when it comes to the best United Team under SAF purely because he was a much better defender, imo.
What struck me was to how good he was at analyzing how defences work and how individual players perform. In the first half an hour he mentioned everything wrong with Lindelof and AWB, but particularly Lindelof, which have been well documented by the likes of myself on here so will not repeat.
What this really led to was reinforcing my belief that our defenders are not being coached properly, especially when it comes to basics. I think this is something Ole clearly needs to address in the summer.

Strong rumours that it is the side. Also Leicester's odds have fallen sharply in the last few hours. Maybe someone has inside information. Or, it could be a massive bluff. I'm not averse to playing some of the fringe players tonight though.

I have heard Parker speak as a pundit before and he did impress me.
Professional international football players have been coached buy top coaches since they were kids in club academies. That includes Linderlof and AWB. Most of their criticism is the basic schoolboy stuff. If they haven't picked that up by now because the don't listen or they are too thick, then there is no hope for them. The rest (about awareness etc) has to come from the player. That ability (seeing the pictures ion the pitch in advance) signals them out as either average, good or exceptional footballers. You can't teach that.
Maybe the likes of Linderlof and AWB are just not good enough to play for the likes of Man United?
