Soon it is the 10 year anniversary of Ja606. I remember joining on the first day but funnily enough the whole forum was dead back then. I didn't login for ages because it felt like nobody really used the site and I am fairly sure there would be only a few articles written per week in them days.
Just wanted to ask if there were any plans for the 17th? It would be amusing to read the first ever articles on here and see what people were saying about football back then. I bet there are some now hilarious predictions etc.
Also I wanted to thank the Admins and especially Admin1 for all the hard work over the last 10 years and managing to grow the forum to what it is now. None of this is possible without your hard work and commitment to running the website.
Thank you all!

In one street, I literally had people circling around me five deep but I wasn't able to feed everyone and seeing their sad faces just pulled at my heart strings. I bought more and in the end I spent R800 ($16) and must have fed 40-50 odd people. One man even likened me to Jesus and started praying at my feet which was awkward.
As I was walking away, I stopped to take a breather and man shouted across the road and asked where I was from. When I told him I was English his face lit up and he told me that the British were very good for India and that he was happy that they were part of the British Empire, something I've definitely not heard too often but it does go to show that our history isn't all bad. He even invited me into his home for tea and snacks and he and his wife made me feel very welcome.
After a 12 hours in Tiruchirappalli, I'd pretty much had enough of India and booked myself an overnight bus to Pondicherry. With my body clock all over the gaff from jet lag, I woke up around 4am and sat up to watch the world go by, or more accurately, one sh!thole town after the next pass by.

Imagine being compared to Jesus somewhere then 12 hours later being like 'yeah i'm bored here now'

Anybody remember the good old days of BBC 606 when Admins used to have dark blue headers and users had light blue headers?
Those were the days...

and they'd put your account under review and ban you from posting articles for months at a time
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Create new account, spend a few hours making sensible comments to get moderation lifted, make one comment out of moderation, account banned, repeat.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
that was grate!
got band nearly every single day from that.

I remember working hard on other forums to popularise this one.
Admins should consider an amnesty to celebrate 10 years of the site.
All board bans lifted, chance to start afresh like we started 10 years ago.
