Who wants the Europa Conference ?

UEFA have introduced a third tier of European football for next season, the Europa League has been made smaller and the Europa Conference has been added for European minnows.

The team in 6th or 7th of the Premier League depending on who wins the Cups (League Cup normally I think but City of course won it again).

It’s unlikely but Arsenal could still get into that, but seriously, who wants it ? The prize of winning it is automatic qualification to the Europa League the following season. 🙄

It is a lot of games for what is a very low level Cup, I don’t see how one could get excited about playing in that…

Arsenal have won 2 European competitions before but ages ago.

The Fairs Cup in 1970
Cup Winners Cup in 1994

Well, there is a big chance now of Arsenal ending up in the Europa Conference - if Arsenal beat Brighton at home then the only way it doesn’t happen is if Everton travel to City and win or the Spuuuds going to Leicester and winning. With the crowds back in it is hard to see either of them doing that.

Arsenal beating Brighton is far from certain.
Everton play a team with a debut CL final day's away
Spurs play a team who probably know they have blown CL and have a cup final hangover
