Nuno leaving by mutual consent.

Title says it all, all the best Nuno. You will be fondly remembered.

A survey of 4000 fans in the express and star had 64% saying it was the wrong decision to part ways with Nuno. Big task for the club to now find a manager who is an improvement

Really looking forward to going to Molineux this afternoon. With only 4500 there it will be a hollow atmosphere but I’d take live football over tv any day.

Man Utd have not lost an away match this season and will become only the third team in premier league history to achieve that unbeaten record if wolves dont beat them today

I do think it’s a shame Nuno is leaving, if we finish where we are (not guaranteed as we could drop several places this afternoon) then it’s not a horrendous result given our recent history, which for me has been largely spent in the Championship/ old Div 1. I think Nuno has enough goodwill to have been given another season to evolve the squad. As this has been a strange season and with his family situation, if it genuinely was a parting by mutual consent then I really can’t blame him for wanting to be with his family.

But it’s done, so we now need to get a manager that can build on a solid foundation. I hope it’s evolution and not revolution, as a major shake up could see us struggle next season as new ideas bed in.

I have no idea about the names being mentioned as I don’t follow much outside Wolves. I just hope whoever comes in can develop players as well as Nuno has done as I’ve loved watching the transformations we’ve seen to the likes of Coady and Doc in recent seasons.

Agree with you howling. Nuno’s departure doesn’t feel like a positive step right now but hopefully we will make a good appointment and continue in the right direction.

If we're all honest, the past few months have been dire football and not very pleasant to watch. I guess we'll never know the reason why Nuno wants to leave. If the Spurs rumour is true, I don't see the family issue being a reason to leave, as he'll only be 150 miles closer to Portugal and still a long way from his family.

I think Fosun was, like many of us, frustrated with results and performances.

If we’re all honest, it’s been inevitable that having so many injuries to key players while operating with a small squad was going to affect both results and performances. The fact that the vast majority of fans are disappointed that Nuno has left, shows a confidence that we would have climbed the table again next season under his management.

I think Fosun, like many of us, will have been disappointed by the negativity of posters online despite these factors. Now supporters hope Fosun will make an appointment that keeps Wolves moving in the right direction

Only 64% saying it was the wrong decision is a surprise and not the landslide answer I would have expected. Very few were left saying they enjoyed the football anymore so I guess that came into it.

I think this way Nunos legacy remains intact whereas if he had started next season he would have been given very few games to change things.

As for posters online, I wonder who deserves more respect, the ones pointing out the clear issues, the issues even the manager and players acknowledged or the ones that pretend everything is fine and make excuse after excuse rather than try to address those issues.

I don't believe that Nuno would have been able to turn results around anyway.
As as for the injury situation, the small squad theory was a disaster and a disaster waiting to happen. The system of play had been found out and we had no answers.
Very grateful that we had Nuno, but his time had run.

Nuno wanted a small senior squad from the outset and would supplement the numbers with younger players. Whilst that worked for a while, it seems to have backfired. Surely he has to take responsibility for that.

As for the style of play, you can sugar coat it all you want DJ, but the majority on here have been expressing concerns about our recent performances.

Nuno has done a good job, but I feel ran out of ideas.

Here's to an exciting summer anticipating a new coach and hopefully more players.
