If levy appoints Martinez we might as well all pack up and go home. Not only is he a terrible choice, but he can’t even start for 6 weeks after the season ends.

Wtf is going on at spurs? It’s like they are on the wind up.

Esl, Kane leaving and now fecking Martinez ?

Are there any verified sources saying he's coming to us? Most reliable people are saying he's nowhere near it.

He's okay but i'd take even Potter over him if i was a Spurs fan.

You say that like potter wouldn't be a great hire
----------------------------------------------------------------------
its a gamble like rodgers was when we took him. I think it could turn out to be great. Martinez could fit in and do a great job too. Just if i had the choice between the two atm id take the gamble on Potter over Martinez who's more experienced but has similar weaknesses and has somewhat failed at a few clubs/national teams already imo.

so you want a manager based on how many trophies they have won at previous clubs?

Why did you sack Jose then?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We didn't sack Jose because of trophy you plank!
We sacked him because his style was turgid!

It's an absolute no brainer. Of course it's Potter. Martinez got the Everton job which isn't far off the state of spurs now and look what he achieved there. Nothing but a leaky defence.

No thanks! If it is him, I'm done!

what did the current barca manager accomplish there though or ancelotti who's a top manager? comes a point when maybe its not the manager thats the problem? Harsh to judge him on his time at Everton tbf. More the issue what hes done with a somewhat stacked Belgium team over the years.

You couldn't be more wrong. International management is a completely different ball game. You can have a tactical game plan but you don't get time to really drill and train the team in your image. You're dictated largely by the club teams the players play for. That's where they learn their craft. If Gareth Southgate or Martinez win the Euros I still wouldn't want either in charge of Spurs. Remember Scholari? It doesn't translate well. Even Bobby Robson had a torrid time as England manager before we stumbled on to the easiest route to the semi finals in 1990 before going out to Germany. Same for Southgate in 2018.

Everton weren't great before he joined but when he did the goals they shipped were just ridiculous. That's a tactical issue and he seemed to have no clue as to how to plug that gap. You could argue that the same could be said for Potter when he join a bigger team but Pep seems to regard him as the best British manager. I don't think he could believe he was getting such a tune out of very average players at Brighton. Wigan under Martinez were never like that.

WTF do you lot all get wound up over a media nonsense? Not in a million years will Martinez be getting the Spurs job. The media put it out their to wind up a lot of Spurs supporters, and it works everytime.
