Farewell my King

For 10 years you have lit up the Premier League. For 10 years you have lit up the city of Manchester. In 2012 you gave us the most memorable finale to a football season. If I was in charge I’d give you 1 more season but it is what it is. Wish I was one of the lucky ones to see you tomorrow but I couldn’t get a ticket.

Farewell King Kun.

We're taking a quick detour tommorrow to see the new Aguero mural on Dale Street to take a few selfies.

Not my usual sort of pre-match entertaiment but tommorrow will be anything but usual.

I was there on his debut and his introduction just brought a ripple of applause on what was a chilly night.

I could never, ever imagine the impact he'd have on our club.

Was saying to someone the other day, for non city fans, they look at us and think of us as pre and post Mansour. As a fan, it’s more a case of pre the Aguero moment and post it. At the time it really did feel like the culmination of a (quite painful at times!) thirty year journey for me and what a way for that journey to end.

He gave both me and the closest people to me one of the greatest moments and experiences we’ll ever have in our lives. Everything post it has just been icing on the cake.

Absolutely gutted I won’t be there tomorrow, give him a big send off from all of us Inky

Could not have put that any better, exactly how I feel and I'm sure the same for a lot of City fans.

Top quality post.

Remember well the day we signed Aguero - that signing, alongside Silva (who my Uncle (sadly since past) said right from the get go was one hell of a special player) were the two signings that really got me excited.

Aguero then had a niggling injury - something like blisters on his feet. So he was on the sub’s bench against Swansea in the first game of the season.

He came on, set up a goal, scored a goal, and then scored again - a top quality goal from a player that signalled his arrival in brilliant fashion, and went on to more than deliver on the promise that his first appearance showed.

Legend!

A very emotional day.

Weird to be back but the 2 early goals got everyone in the mood.

The 2 goals from Sergio got everyone urging him to get another as if it was 93:20 again.

Absolute legend and he'll be a very hard act to follow.

What a way to sign off too, don’t think I’ve ever seen him score a better header!

I'll need to see a replay but that was possibly the best cross ever.

The Swansea match was the first evening match my eight-year-old son went to as a season ticket holder. We watched Sergio arrive together. Football can mean something far more important than men just kicking a ball about sometimes. My boy is now eighteen and Sergio will always be part of us.
