Parachute payments a good ting ?

Wiv Bournemmouth now set for another season in the Championship it's comforting to know the blow will be cushioned by a 40 million pound parachute payment. Dis rewarding failure is absolutely ridiculous. It simply creates an un-level playing field and is rapidly turning the Championship into a farce. Whatever appened to "pick yourself up,dust yourself off and start all over again". The sooner these payments are stopped the better. A once very competitive division as i alluded to earlier is being turned into a farce.

Watford, Norwich and West Brom.

They've made a fortune out of it.

The parachute payments are there to help out any club that may or is suffering financial hardship, and it is a temporary measure, put in place to stop clubs disappearing from the league, unable to continue to operate?
It is not a financial incentive, how can it be?
It is a safeguard measure that may even benefit your club one day?
It's like anything in life, measures have to be put in if circumstances change and a club face severe hardship.

How is simply gettin relegated from the Premier a severe ardship ?

Ridiculous. Getting relegated gets some teams more money than other teams get for winning their domestic league. Which says how money obsessed the prem is.,

I am not denying the organisation of this is not quite right but I do support parachute payments to protect clubs.

I’m not against the idea. But it only exists because clubs overextend themselves trying to compete in the league, which shows something is very wrong with the premier league.

How about giving "a rocket payment" to the three promoted clubs to elp dem survive in a tougher division ? The teams that get parachute payments are competing in an easier division.

Brentford in the prem

And deservedly so......they were by far the "stand out" team of the play off quartet......and i fink they'll fare better than the two who got the automatic places. Dat said they'll always be "a bus stop in Ounslow" for me and there gonna miss their "cup final" down at the Bush next season.

Terry Fenwick ruined my acca RR.

He's currently manager of Trinidad and Tobago (not for much longer) and they drew 0 - 0 with The Bahamas who are near the foot of the fifa rankings which eliminated them from qualifying for the World Cup.
