Well done Lads and Ole, don’t think many predicted a 2nd spot, and with relative ease. Too many draws. Very impressive away record. Not so much at home. Nip that in the bud, and maybe this team have the mentality to do big things.
One big game to play. Get that damn trophy. Gonna be tough. But we can do it.

How did Beek, Amad and Elanga play?

I missed the first half but some were saying it was VDB's best game at half time. In the second half I thought he gave a better account of himself than usual, though you wouldn't say he was a revelation.

Elanga took his goal well. But Amad was the stand-out of the three. He just looks as though he is confident he belongs at this level. Wants the ball all the time, looks to see if something is on, goes for something progressive or 'starts again' in a way that looks like he's evaluating the opportunity rather than thinking 'am I going to mess this up?' Good awareness of everything around him. Should have had an assist from a beautifully timed and weighted pass to Dan James, whose finish was metaphysically awful. He's going to be a playeer.

Also a shout out to Hannibal Mejbri, who had maybe 10 minutes for his debut. Didn't have a chance to impact, but also looked supremely unfazed and displayed one lovely piece of skill.
