You were. Although there is obvious and understandable disappointment, I think the team played well and were undone in the most frantic circumstances. Nobody would have expected a manager such as Ole, with his lack of any track record of success to have achieved progression at Man U but there’s no doubt he has. The bigger issues are with your ownership and management structure, fix that and you’re good.

What is it with United and penalty shoot out? You had that one against Swansea with Moyes where everyone missed. Now this one where it took 22 pens before the keeper saved one. Maybe practicing a bit would be a good idea? Cause at the mo you’re fecked if it comes to a shootout.

Thought you were the better team and should have won. people are going to knock Solskjaer and United but second in a very competitive league, UEFA final ... you may be disappointed but it's not a terrible season... if you can build on it.

The season before he took over we finished on 81 points, second in the table.

The manager before him won the europa league and league cup.

His best season so far has been 74 points, exiting group stages of the champions league, and putting up a woeful display in the europa league final.

Can you explain to me with statistics, where the progression is after spending 300 million?

he looked like a scrawny little kid out there, just knew he was going to miss. their keeper almost stopped at least three of their shots.
penalty shootouts are the worst way to decide a final but neither team had a shot on goal since the cavani goal so we would probably still be at it.

I saw him at the airport when he just arrived, but I thought it can’t be him he’s too small. But then when I stood next to him in the security queue he towered over me. He looked small from a distance because he was so scrawny and looked so young.
