Jesse wants to stay and earn his place and says he's up for the challenge of competing with Bruno, Marcus and Sancho next season

Donny looks like he might leave after all. Feels he's done enough when given chances be be given a regular run and wants to play football every week at this point in his career.

McTominay will be vice captain next season. Garner will not go back out on loan at this point unless a PL club will take him with regular guaranteed game time. Aaron has talked to Ole about being angry at being overlooked by England again. Ole has advised him to declare for Congo and show the England staff what they missed out on.

This is where we do really need to be ruthless. If Jesse was 20yo and had just been on loan then he'd be worth keeping but, at his age, he needs regular game time and if we are to get back to what we were I don't see that being at OT.

We musn't be too desperate to sell however and we should try to get a decent fee for him.

Lukaku to Chelsea
Lewa to Real
Ronaldo to United

Lukaku is going to come back to England and win the PL with Chelsea, isn't he?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yep 😅. My faith in him will be vindicated. Just with the wrong side 😟

Lukaku could come back to the Prem as top scorer and some of our fans would still label him a terrible footballer, a flat track bully blah blab blah.

No idea how credible a source you are OP, but a fully focussed Jesse would be an asset.

.......

Having an asset once or twice a season isn’t any use though.

He’d really help them given their struggles scoring goals against the bottom ten teams. Might need to leave him on the bench for most of the games against the top ten, though.

I think a motivated Lingard is still good enough to start for us but if Ole doesn’t fancy him he should go somewhere else. Not sure who would pay the money. Perhaps Spurs?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He’s not good enough and in reality he never was. We’d surely 20 mill for him.

Given Ole doesn't use subs, Jesse would be wasted on the bench.

Agree. Jessie + £60M for Sancho may be a good deal. Who knows Dortmund could give Utd first preference for Haaland next year.
