I am sure this has been seen by most on here but this is what our starting line up would currently look like following our retained list being released:
Samba
Gabriel** Worrall McKenna Blackett*
Colback* Yates
Johnson** Cafu* Mighten
Grabban*
With subs from:
Smith, Soh
Figs*, Bong*, Jenkinson*, Lolley*, Arter*, Bochirou*, Taylor*
Iannou**, Carvalho**, Da Costa**
Preston***, Fornah***, Swan***
* Representing players I'd like to move
** Representing players returning from loan
*** Representing players returning from loan / youth
It doesn't look great does it! I know we have the transfer window to come but I'm not a fan of CH at all. With 5-6 of his starting eleven gone is it even worth keeping him in charge?
Big season of change ahead. Definitely not a season to be gambling on Autos, Top 6, or a Top Half finish.
Anyway, on to the Euros!

Agree with most of that
Clean slate, yet again 🙄

Have to say that I’ve been unimpressed so far with CH, but I’m hoping that’s down the the amount of deadwood and journeymen he inherited from the previous manager
I still firmly think we absolutely must stick with the manager - he’s our best hope of getting out of this league
Saying that, if we continue to play like we have over the past year, I think he’ll be gone by Christmas
I feel totally unenthusiastic about the going’s on down at the City Ground - football really has lost its appeal to me over the past 5 or so years

I think with CH we have to be realistic, even if the squad was exactly as he would want the football will be pragmatic at best. He will most likely create a team that will challenge and do better in terms of league position. But it won’t be inspiring or particularly entertaining!
Forest have become a team that’s hard to love in recent years, with only the odd flicker of jump out of your seat excitement, Leeds home game last year probably the last one 🤷♂️
I think our transfer policy has a part to play in this, too much dependents on over paid agents. When you look at who Brentford have signed in last 3 years while we have been wasting money on Portuguese and Greek youth/reserve team players is massively frustrating.
I hope CH will back some of the lower league talent, unearth the next Maupay/Watkins/ Toney and fit them to a solid system. Maybe then give us all something to believe in again

I think I am happier with this list of players than most. Obviously some of the players who have left will be big misses, but we shoud be getting in a few good replacements.
I would make one change in 'chile's starting line up:
Cafu out, Johnson CM, and Lolley in on the right. Of the subs listed I think the only ones to figure in CH's match day plans will be: Smith, Soh, Figs, Jenks, Taylor, and Carvalho. The rest CH will hope to move out either on loan or permanently.
That makes 17, well short of a workable squad. If we can bring in 5 players who go straight into the starting line up that would be brilliant. I think we need more pace and energy and would like to see a RB, 2 AMs, and 2 strikers.
Fixtures out in two weeks, first game in nine weeks. Expect to see players coming in soon after Euros finish
