If they are not in his final squad, why on earth were they on the pitch in a tournament warm up game?
We had one of these players almost score a comical own goal which could have cast a shadow over the whole preparation for the tournament
He should be using these games to field the 26 players he is actually taking to the tournament, not be fairy godfather trying to make players happy who are not even in the team
Is this the England team or Southgates mates club?

Southgate was absolutely right to play the team he did for reasons other posters have mentioned. Five days on from a Champions League final, with the emotional and physical demands that involved, let alone the travelling to and from Porto. Last night's gam also gave Southgate an opportunity to take another look at fringe players.

Also, if it were his mates club, and you think he only played those lads because they're his mates, why has he dropped them from the squad?
