Basically the celtic board allowed ten to slip further and further away cause they wanted to give their pal his treble.

You're right, they allowed going for 10 to derail the business model, it looks dumb in hindsight.

No doubt coaching has been p!ss poor, but for me Eddy downed tools and that's unforgivable.

Don't get me wrong, I suspect he was given certain future transfer promises when he signed and Celtic are known for not always following through, he may well have a good reason for being unhappy but i'm still pretty bitter about it either way.

That 22.6 months average contract came from that FIFPro study they had done a few years back about 'employment' in the game. Absolutely scary the players with no contract, not paid on time or at all, offered to throw matches, sold / kept against their will, frozen out, physically abused etc. - not just Africa either.

Absolutely.

See I can understand players getting pee’d off (having a pishheed, Neanderthal manager for starters), but you have to be a special kind of thick to think that chucking it is going to help when it comes to future transfers and wages. Eddy could have got his head down, banged then in this season, then his potential suitors would have been a whole level above his likely destination now, after phoning it in for a season. Beyond dumb.

Should have sold him a year ago when he first started agitating for a move. Don't want to be here, effaff. Might have got more for him then

Far bigger things happening in life other than getting one’s knickers in a spin over a players who come and go and earn fortunes regardless. Never been one for hero worship. Just appreciate the talents.
