Conte or not Conte?

Spurs fans. Cards on the table.

Would this be a good appointment in your opinion?

What do you think he would bring to Spurs?

Given some reasonable investment this summer what could he achieve for us and what would your expectations be over this and next season?

Any reservations?

Lets assume Kane stays as I could not see Conte coming without this.

Apparently Conte is "not convinced" by spurs job according to sky Italia.

I am telling you this will fall through and we will end up with Howe

If there is even the slightest shred of truth with regards to his doubts, we need to pull the plug immediately. If they're not seeing eye to eye now imagine what it will be like when he does sign. This is a warning sign for both Conte and Levy. They should both be scared off.

Make one last ditch attempt at Poch and tell PSG that Conte is their man. Poch is more suited to us and Conte for PSG anyway. If not then all in ETH.

I honestly think Levy believes a good team can be built by a good manager without the quality of player. This will have been his thinking with Mourinho, hoping that a `top coach` could over achieve despite glaring squad deficiencies. The fact is, almost all coaches are only as good as their players.

Yep. He clearly knows nothing about football which, having seen the Amazon doc, is no great surprise. He doesn't seem like he knows his onions. He reminds me of the kid at school who was terrible at football but enjoyed watching nonetheless. His conversations with Mourinho remind me of the desperation of David Brent to appear knowing but failing miserably.

In a purely football sense, he's an idiot. He's just bloody good at finances and negotiation.

His finest moment for me was the 1-2-1 chat he had with Ndombele. He was low on confidence, not performing well, felt unloved so what he really, really needed was a story about Daniel's GCSE and A-Level results at school. I'm sure when the dust has settled it will be that moment that marked a turnaround in his fortunes.

One of the greatest awkward tv moments for a generation.

Clive Anderson and Bee Gees beats this hands down.

If that earlier report is true that Conte actually agreed to come to Spurs under certain conditions, the main one being that Levy would persuade Kane to stay another year , then surely Spurs and Conte are waiting on Kane.
Regardless that earlier promise by Levy to let Kane go after this year.
Clarifications are clearly needed as all the parties to wait and see....what is transpiring... most likely you will be debating this till after the Euros

Does anyone remember the 'little man" comment addressed Jose?

"he is a little man and in future he will be a little man"

Here could be one of the reasons he wants Spurs?

Rumours are he does not like Mourinho, so it could be that he fancies to win something with Spurs, and in turn prove that he can do what Mourinho couldnt.

Correct! Levy likes to save money by hoping coaches can improve academy players.
Conte likes to buy great players and win stuff quickly.
