The best goalkeeper we had since Edwin Van Der Saar and ousted by Solskjaer like he was nothing. The 19/20 season treatment of him was a disgrace. I hope Romero calls Ole out on his poor treatment. A manager deserves to get sacked for the way he managed that situation.
Romero was the main reason we won the Europa League in 16/17 season while De Gea was the main reason we lost it in the last 2 seasons. Honestly if I was in charge of Man Utd I would have dropped De Gea at end of 2018/19 season and sold him for near a free so we got him off our wages. A player that costs you trophies is pointless to have. Even Van Der Saar coming out of retirement would have faired better than De Gea in the last few seasons. I wish Romero left at end of last season instead of had to go through last season treated shamefully by Solskjaer.
Its crazy Romero and Henderson record compared to De Gea in european and premierleague and any cup games make De Gea look like a non-league player but Ole plays De Gea. Both Romero and Henderson are miles better at saving penalties than De Gea yet De Gea one of the worst goalkeepers at saving penalties is played in the shootout. When Ole didn’t sub De Gea off I knew then the only way we were winning penalties was if they missed as my expectation of De Gea was to give them near open goals and that is what he did. Never seen a goalkeeper look so easy to beat at penalties as he did.
Even if they passed the ball next to him he would have conceded as he was moving out the way of them and reacting slowly when in reach. The ones in the middle he dives out the way while the ones not completely in the corner he barely moves in any direction until it is in the net. Honestly think a 5 foot person would have done a better job than De Gea at reaching there shots.

Scoring was very unlikely as he has always been poor technically. People some reason think he is good with his feet when he isn’t. Just because he scored a freekick on a youtube video years ago people think he is technically good. If he was so good he wouldn’t make so many errors leading to goals against us or pass it to the opposition regularly. It is funny Romero was always trolled for his ball playing skills but he rarely conceded due to an error by him playing it out while under De Gea that happened regularly. Even Mourinho was shocked how poor De Gea was in his first season.

Romero record in europa league was insane and so was Henderson. It was amazing Ole dropped the 2 best goalkeepers in history of the competition for like the worst in De Gea for the later stages and both times cost us the trophies we should have won.

De Gea regularly in last 6 years concedes more goals than expected. Romero and Henderson regularly have conceded like near the best expected goal prevention of any keeper.
De Gea has had like near his worst season of his career this season but because he saved a couple of pens all is forgotten. Only 1 team has had a worse record regarding XG than De Gea had for Man Utd this season. It is pretty safe to say if Romero or Henderson had been in goal this season then Ole would still be in a job.

It means something as he has far exceeded XG against like Henderson has and has an insane clean sheet record like Henderson. It is funny the only goalkeeper that struggled for clean sheets since SAF left is De Gea.
I reckon if Henderson or Romero were the top 2 goalkeepers we would have won around 4 more trophies under Ole.

Its a myth De Gea saves Man Utd since SAF left. He has regularly conceded more goals than expected in most of his games. He also helps opposition score goals against us by gifting goals himself.
Remember the Liverpool game De Gea just stood there on his line for Salah to make it 5-0 but same game Allison comes charging out and stops Ronaldo.
Henderson loves doing the sweeper keeper role hence why he kept so many clean sheets. If De Gea played instead of Henderson last season in same games I expect De Gea would have conceded around another 15 goals which is about par for his level of stats compared to Henderson.

Its got so bad I rather play with Phil Jones in goal than De Gea.
Someone should tel De Gea you are allowed to move when the oppostion shoot or are running in on goal. Virtually everytime the opposition try and shoot De Gea just stands in same position all the time. Look at Atalanta 2nd goal and the block by Bailly that prevented a goal. He just stands there motionless.

Man Utd conceded 15 goas in last 5 league games, next worst record is 11 goals conceded and a lot of those 15 goals were shots straight at De Gea.

Remember Leipzig away he just stood there for the 3rd goal and this season same for Young Boys goal and same for Everton goal at OT and Newcastle United goal.
How an earth he gets paid so much to be so poor it is insane. Its hilarious people think he is back in form when it is like the worst season of his career.
