Is he really that bad? Honestly not really watched him but he does seem to do well when they play against us. However that's true with just about every player.

If thats how you judge a player maybe we should sign Troy Deeney

No real upgrade on Xhaka, decent player but can’t see him improving us tremendously, unless he’s a squad option over using Elneny. But 35m is a lot for an Elneny replacement. We need a different profile of player to properly improve our midfield

He's still got some improvement in him I think and would probably benefit from playing in a less rigid system than Nuno had him in (he touched the ball in opposition box 6 times in his first three seasons with us). He developed a deserved reputation for spectacular long range goals but for some reason that's gone completely out of his game, why he was kept on free kicks for us I'll never know he's not got one on target for two years. That said, hope he stays, we'd struggle to bring in his level of quality in to the squad to replace him.

Well if he'd benefit from playing in a less rigid system then he DEFINITELY shouldn't come to AFC. Arteta will have him firmly in his own half. Most he'll get is to shift back ten yds and left another 10 to slot in to cover for Arteta's sole attack strategy of "Bomb Tierney forward and whack him the ball."

Thing Neves has over Elneney or Xhaka is probably consistency, rarely makes errors or concedes possession, rarely drops below 7/10. Just haven't seen many 8s & 9s from him for a while.

That's playing under Nuno. He knows how to manage a team and isn't an obnoxious git who makes you not even wanna play games if you have to play his way.

A few games of Artetaball and he'd soon be making errors, it's REAL easy to do when ya bored stiff. Which Neves will be a plenty if he's not observant enough to have picked up the whole "Arteta is clearly a complete of a manager so I defo don't want to move there," vibe pulsing violently out of the Emirates all season long. It's not exactly been hard to miss

If we get Neves does that mean we won't get Bissouma?
