Diego Llorente covid

Tested positive. Poor guy after the season he had with injuries, to have his Euros ruined.

Wonder what this means for Spain - not ideal preparation to lose your captain and have the whole team miss the warm up friendly, then another player.

It'll depend on how it affects him and how cautious the Spanish team will be about keeping him away from the rest of the team.

My guess is his tournament is over ... above all though i hope the guy is okay.

Are his euros ruined? 7 days isolation, he should be fine.

Misses the first 2 games at least. Unlikely to come straight back and play the final group game. Given he's not an automatic pick, it puts him out of contention really to break into the team for the last 16 onwards.

Curious...has he been vaccinated?

Have the squads been finalised?

Cause if they haven't then realistically they should drop him

One down, seven to go.
Can't wait to see who starts on the opening day of next season.

You can still get it if your vaccinated, however I dont think there are any recorded cases of someone who has been vaccinated getting seriously ill from it.

Oddly enough Matt Lewis talks about just this on the last leeds united podcast.

He is double vaccinated and still caught it and was explaing what it was like for him

Is he not our second player to come back from the Spain squad with this?..

Something seriously wrong around the Spanish squad, their testing methods should be looked at or their testing team should be changed!..

Just read that Llorente's first test was a false positive, and he has had two negative PCR-tests yesterday.

He will be tested again tonight and tomorrow morning

Looks like he's back in training with rest of the squad.
