I only watched about a minute of that video, but for a 21 year old man I think he comes across as quite confident, clear and reasonably articulate.

I like Busby, but I just think comments like that are shīt and need addressing. Do correct me if I'm wrong Busby, but I reckon you made that assumption because he has a working class London accent? It has no bearing at all on his intelligence. Sancho is lucky but there are plenty of people in this country who are unfairly discriminated against because of attitudes like that.

Nah, I listened to it. He did just sound noticeably not very bright. Noticeably being the key thing. It wasn't an accent thing, it was just genuinely something that was impossible to ignore.

Though he's not been media trained and it's not his job to sound polished in front of a microphone, even if that is increasingly part of the expectation of a footballer. Fair play to Sancho for having the confidence to speak to the media and it's a skill he will improve on in future I'm sure

Having said that, I don't think there's any need to call him thick as s***. He had the courage to go in front of the cameras and microphones and speak. He's by no means a senior figure in the squad and took on that level of responsibility and that is commendable

No, I’ve heard a few of his interviews the past few days, he doesn’t sound very smart. Nothing to do with his accent.

He's sounds like he's from London, but at least he can actually have a conversation unlike many footballers.

The london accent wasn’t really anything, it was him not knowing what to say or even remembering the things he was talking about that probably made busby think that. He didn’t come across as a switched on bloke, but he may well have been nervous. I don’t think anyone could criticise him for that..
