I could see him doing well in the middle of a 3. He reads the game well and has good distribution.

Mate, you can’t polish turds. Not even Jurgen Klopp would get anything out of our centre backs. Dier and Sanchez simply have to be sold. Toby I love, but he’s not the same player he was. Rodon still very raw. We need a top class centre back and a top right back

If we sign no defenders, then we will be in a relegation battle it’s as simple as that. Not signing any defenders would be suicide. Our defence is comical and with a manager coming in that’s not known for his defensive strengths, that’s a recipe for disaster. No excuses mate, defenders have to be bought. Kane being sold means a replacement for him too. Really think we are in for a long slog of a season.

We had Kane last season mate. The likelihood of Kane not being here is very strong. That’s 45 goals and assists missing. Huge difference. 100% we will be in a relegation battle if we don’t improve that defence and sell Kane

And you honestly think with our spending history, we are replacing his goals and assists ? ok then. Kane goes, we’re bang in trouble. You can dress it up how you want mate, but it doesn’t change the fact we are going to be needing a special player or 2 to get anywhere near to what he brings to the team. Some supporters on here are incredibly deluded.

Vestergaard and Anderson. Both are realistic and attainable. Davies will be a CB this season. Get rid of one Sanchez/Dier.

Sess and Skipp returning to compete with Reguilon and Hjojberg.

Sell Aurier. Sign a new RB.

Sabitizer to add something to midfield. Sell Sissoko.

Keep Kane. For one more season at least.

You think so Christopher…I wouldn’t say either are slow, probably their size makes them look slower. But I’ll be there watching more closely for it. Although Anderson or Vestergaard didn’t start.

Everyone is in agreement the defence needs sorting. However I have just yet to hear anyone state who we should get to fix our farcical back line. Well anyone realistic.

Their frame is part of the problem though - even if their straight line speed isn't as bad as it seems they're so slow on the turn. It makes them really poor fits for defending a lot of space in a high line
