it's funny that this Gattuso story broke yesterday, about mid afternoon, and the Mail online are reporting as of 740am this morning that Spurs have decided against hiring him.

It's like a soap opera where an entire storyline plays out in a 25 minute episode, but ultimately its just fiction.

We've practically going through all the available managers in Italy!

I hear the Mario brothers may be next!

Is one of three things going on here:

1. Levy is leaking potential names to the media to see if the fans like what they hear. Then proceeds or not, depending on the response. So we do Levy's job for him.

2. The media are hell bent on either continuing their agenda against Spurs at all costs, or just simply make up stories to keep their profile / profits going.

3. Or it is simply a case that Spurs as a club have become such a joke under Levy that all these potential managers really don't want to come to Spurs.

Either way our club has gone from CL finalists and regular top 4, to a complete joke in the space of 2/3 years. all under the stewardship of.......yep Mr Levy.

So it’s all fallen through has it. I did tell people on here yesterday to stop listening to these stupid reporters who have an agenda and are using educated guesses (to the detriment of the club) to predict the next man. I did get shouted down by certain people for saying it, but seems that old chronic is wise beyond his years. You cannot trust the media. Full stop. Sprinkle on top of that that spurs is a total mess at the moment and only a fool would take anything report as anything other than finger in the air guess work at this stage.

Chronic, it's not totally the media at blame.

Conte negotiations did take place, and it failed!
Fonseca was given 3 years contract.

Lazy journalism is how the football media works. Yiu just need to look at how many Italian players we've been linked with since the new DoF came in and we were expected to get the ex-Roma boss.. Same when Jose came in, linked with ex-United players constantly .
Some rumours do actually come to pass but even a broken clock is right twice a day.
