Cant help but think in an ironic twist of logic that if we had no misinformed media and YouTube reporters we wouldn't be as stressed out as we are.
Imagine media silence and the board simply saying. We shall recruit our new manager by July 1st and before then we shall appoint a Director of Football to lead the search for the best candidate.
The failings for me are
1. Clueless Levy not knowing how to operate in a football or media world.
2. Social media journos guessing and reporting as 100% facts
3. Sky and traditional media constantly wanting Tottenham to fail in favour of existing media darling clubs. Most the traditional journos are fans of sky 4 because they are all of the age when they idolised the clubs that were winning when they were kids. They can't help their bias.
4. Betting companies are also extremely powerful and I have reason to suspect that this media hype and social media algos are all designed to make them millions.
I'm just glad we aren't getting Gattuso. That would have been a train wreck and do we even know if it was facts.
Sorry to sound all Black Mirror but when we analyse the last few months what clear to me is the media don't really have a clue what's going on at Spurs so they should stop pretending they are in the know.
If I could mute Spurs updates from social media I definitely would. Its getting farcical worsened by our media shy club owners who don't realise they can stop all this rubbish by showing definitive leadership.
Maybe it's also the media..

The media is shockingly biased against Spurs, but our own fans do not help themselves, by believing all the guff that is endlessly pumped out 24/7.
I think Spurs must be the only club, where the media are ALWAYS trying to unsettle their best player and move them on. But I personally take everything they say with a pinch of salt. Unfortunately a lot of our supporters get wrapped up in all the hype, and take everything they say as gospel.

Hey it's far from ideal i know that. Plans for next season begin before the previous season ends.
We are behind the 8 ball. It will likely compromise us next season and this is a huge source of annoyance.
I'd rather we get the right man rather than prioritising the timing of the appointment. Work will be going on in the background, esp. as we have a DoF now and nothing happens while the Euros/Copa America are on anyway.

Euros and Copa America means we aren't really behind anyone. Add covid to the situation and it's actually clearer appointing the manager today won't change much.
The main thing is having a manager by end of Euros and Copa when players return and most importantly selling the deadwood so when the new manager starts we have a leaner squad.
