It has been claimed Wembley's showpiece games could be moved to Hungary, where COVID rules are more relaxed, should a deal not be struck.
Asked if the government would allow quarantine exemptions for UEFA VIPs and fans, Mr Johnson said: "We'll do what we have to do to keep the country safe from COVID, that's obviously going to be our priority.
"We'll be talking to UEFA about what they want and see if we can make some sensible accommodations.
Aye bit we are above any law eh?
Bojo bending the rules?

Well let’s see if he does cave in. If he does there’s no way he or anyone in government can ever lecture us again. All bets are off, so in which case I’ll be delighted despite the fact he’ll have been a hypocritical fat toad.
He should be telling UEFA to get right to fwck. I’ll be watching with interest.

This will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back about the government lecturing us?

Exactly
UEFA are a business. Give them the grant and top up loan if need be. Maybe even a wee donation to furlough some of the thousands of suits who won’t be able to come.
That’s how the government has treated every other business right?

I think the government-and I include the Scottish government, but particularly the U.K. government-lost the ability to lecture us a fair time ago. This doesn’t even register now as an issue for me.

It does with me.
One by one, the countries in Europe and beyond are opening their borders whilst we keep us ours as shut tight as possible without cutting ourselves off from the rest of the world entirely.
These same countries are now at the same time cutting us out of going to theirs as a sign of retaliation. Please don’t allow them to cite the Delta variant as the reason. It’s going through everywhere else. It’s simple politics now.
