It's Getting Messi

With just less than a week left on his contract, Lionel Messi still hasn't put pen to paper on an extension. From what we are lead to believe, Laporta has offered a 2 year renewal at 50 million Euros per annum which is around half of what he currently earns. In addition to the 2 years, Messi will have a further 8 years as an FCB ambassador. So what's holding this up?

Is Messi holding out for a last minute, increased offer? Or is he really contemplating his future?? I don't believe he will go, but the longer this goes on the more nervous FCB will get. I can only imagine the likes of PSG and Man City are getting more interested though as each day goes by with no extension agreed.

It shouldn't be lost that signing Aguero wasn't just for his world class ability. Laporta knows (to be fair everyone knows) that Kun and Messi have been friends for over 15 years and it was thought (still is) that signing Kun would give Messi a further push to stay. Aguero is a top player and top bloke who gets on with Lionel like a house on fire.

I think he will stay at Barca before going to Inter Miami.

Will he stay or will he go???

I hope he stays so that we can see the MAD front 3 rip apart La Liga.
